Re: Maltron single-handed keyboard review (Cherry MX Black)
Chyros exposed three big points against the keyboard, which are: -Horrendous design which claims to be "ergonomic" but has unreachable keys or just uncomfortable to the absurd, like the literally vertical ones in the upper row of the main cluster, -The worst building quality ever seen in one of his...

Re: [WTB] IBM Unsaver & M15 & Beamspring
Can you be huge jerks, yes, should you, no. "I'm allowed to be the worst wherever I want" is a stupid hill to dye on. It's not about being 'jerks' but I'm glad to see you've decided to act mature by dishing out the insults. It's more to do with us expressing distaste over just how crap this hobby i...

Re: [WTB] IBM Unsaver & M15 & Beamspring
This thread is a demonstration of users who have seemingly forgotten how to PM others. This is a WTB thread, not a discussion thread. I appreciate that the dialog is filled with dismissive bullshit that misses the point and contributes nothing, but let's get back on track, eh? Last time I checked w...

Or just buy a new topre board as a congratulatory gift for getting out of that trash pile of a job.
Contemplating more than 5s about taking a keyboard from a shitty job is just as petty and low as the job and the boss.

Re: Omron75, the year of B3G-S omrons
Long time no talk. I had a long 3 months of hiatus due to some unfortunate procrastination. Thankfully the project is still alive. I have both the prototypes, finally, and also motivated enough to do some comparisons. First prototype : Tactile whites w/ Cerakote Tungsten grey Second prototype : Line...

Re: Omron75, the year of B3G-S omrons
Hey guys, long time no update. I just received the second prototype today and I have 100% happy about the aesthetic and 95% there with construction, this was my fault for mixing up between m3 and m4 spacers without double checking. Here are the changes: 1. Exaggerated the chamfers to equalize the ov...

As I understand it, I’ll wait for an answer to my personal messages for a long time, so I am writing here! Actually, I’ve on your forum a long time ago, but I had to register again - why, I’ll tell you later. Recently, I broke up with my husband (some people know him here!), and I've been chatting ...

Re: Leaf80 - Bolt modded Alps Plate Spring TKL
Immensely cool project. I really need to get my hands on a P70 - I've always been interested to try plate springs, and those keycaps are simply the best alps caps out there. The keycaps are actually quite thin, so they aren't the "best" caps out there but I'd definitely say the material and printin...

Re: Leaf80 - Bolt modded Alps Plate Spring TKL
Holy crap, this is one of the coolest builds Iv'e seen as of late. I actually have a P70, but its in horrible condition but the switches still work and 5 are missing from the board. A TKL would be perfect for what I have. Would there be any way to buy all these in a kit or would I have to do the sa...

Re: Leaf80 - Bolt modded Alps Plate Spring TKL
The Diffuser Most ppl use diffuser for RGB underglow, diffuser actually has another use: adding extra spacing. Because of the bolt mod I want extra gap inside, also bigger gap is nicer for clicky switches anyway. Big thank to senter for providing the Leaf80 file design so I could derive the spacer ...

The Switches - 3 types of APS: plate mount, battleship pcb mount, square pcb mount - All have the same weighting of 45g - All have the same internal parts - Pcb mount types have extra pins for stabilizing and alignment I am just repeating myself but Snackthecat did a great job documenting them, ple...

Re: Omron75, the year of B3G-S omrons
I've had a board in near new condition with some clicky ambers in it for the longest time, but i've been mostly unable to use it since it's so large (A Wang 725 of some sort). I've been looking about for projects that would support these switches, and I have to say this one looks pretty good! Becau...

Re: Omron75, the year of B3G-S omrons
Oh, in that case you're are good. Those caps are made for SKCL/M specifically. The spacebar is a bit funky, it uses cherry system for stabilizer but the rest of the long keys use alps system. Make sure your plate supports it.

Re: Omron75, the year of B3G-S omrons
I have to check, taihao uses support bars underneath the caps. Might not fully bottom out on Omrons for Row3 I don’t think there’s tkl pcb out there for omrons just yet. Omrons use alps mounting system for caps, but the electrical pinouts are not the same as SKCL/M. DrClick has the 60% pcb readily a...

Plate spacers are shorter than the polycarb mid piece to make sure the plate is rested on the polycarb mid piece only, no metal touching metal. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48033138356_4e26197015_k.jpg Closed up of Cerakoted and Homage to Next Non-ADB https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48033...

The Build Plate deadtrap Ease of modification ranking(higher number the better): 10. 9. SKCL/M (can modify without desoldering) 8. MX (can modify without desoldering, a bit more awkward for switch opening) 7. 6. 5. Topre (1 dead switch requires opening up the entire board, with a screw driver only)...

Layout keyboard-layout(1).png 75% was the decision between Mike and I. At the time there was a void of custom 75%, and all of the 75% did not make sense to us. They all suffer from the boxy look because of the F-row. Then a few months later, I presented the fixed layout to Robotical, he liked it so...
