Re: New Model M vs Model F Repro
I can understand trying to compare the new model F to the old model F, or the new model M to the old model M, but comparing the new model F to the new model M seems kind of strange. They're totally different animals. I have both, and my F77 blows the New Model M out of the water in so many ways. It ...

Re: New Model M vs Old IBM Model M
One thing I'd miss with the recent Unicomps, though: The classic colour scheme . I find it far prettier than the black/grey thing they go for nowadays. But apparently tastes vary ;) It kind of blows my mind that Unicomp doesn't do their SSK in Industrial Gray with blue keys. There are probably tons...

Re: Noob asking for help
As for the pic above: it’s from the Round 5 thread. Beware: browsing that thread will hurt your wallet and your soul. They’re not easy to come by nowadays!* https://deskthority.net/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=10938 The keyboard itself is my ISO Novatouch, sold some years ago to Phinix. I kept the ANSI. *I...

Re: Noob asking for help
Not bothered about clicky / tactile? Noted. How about looks? I’m guessing you want backlit keys because you haven’t yet discovered doubleshots and (better yet) dyesub caps? Caps easily get pricier than keyboards, when you’re into them. https://deskthority.net/download/file.php?id=21969 Not to hijac...

Re: Keyboard suggestion for Model F, but quieter.
Install bucklespring program to your coworker's laptop. This could possibly stop him/her envying your keyboard sound. That's pretty funny, I might have to put that on MY laptop so the buckling sound follows me around to our meetings too. I've done this floss mod and didn't think it made a sig...

Keyboard suggestion for Model F, but quieter.
Hello, I am looking for some recommendations. I recently received one of Ellipse's Model F77's, and I love it. I've been using it in the office as my daily driver, but I think I may be driving my coworker to the brink of insanity with my constant loud clacking and pinging. I may need to take this bo...

What about a slanted metal case design like the keymacs? (with smoothed edges) https://i.ytimg.com/vi/gziZnhxcFrk/maxresdefault.jpg +1 for this; Elegant and ergonomic (although, could need a "palm warmer" mod for those in cold climates) Something like this with a pencil shelf would be pretty cool I...

Re: F62+F77 orders now open! New Kishsaver+Industrial Model F Keyboards
I received my F77 this week and it was well worth the wait. I love this keyboard. Everything about it in terms of build quality, function, aesthetics, etc., exceeded my expectations. I had no issues getting it set it up and I've been happily using it as my daily driver at work for the last several d...
