Everything I've ever experienced with gmail is if you don't have SPF and DKIM you're going nowhere. Since beginning this month, I see on several domains, that having just an SPF does not suffice any longer. The only thing that works seems to be SPF + DKIM or SPF + DMARC (at a minimum). It's not nec...

Most likely cause are springs that need to be reseated. Just pull off the caps (of the keys which you have issues with), and the springs, and then reattach them. Pay attention to the rotation of the spring on the knob. It's not entirely irrelevant at which angle the spring starts around the base of ...

And aviator cables would alleviate that by moving the violent yanks and the stresses they induce from the PCB to the middle of the cable. Yes, they would absorb some of the short-term shocks, but the average perpendicular force exerted on the socket will not change, which still is likely to cause m...

Re: Beam Spring 104+SSK Reproduction Project! First Batch In Stock, Shipping early next year after New Model F Project

That is true, but a similar durability can be achieved with aviator cables on USB-C, The problem is not the cable, that is easily replaced. The problem is the demolition done to the PCB mounted USB socket on the PCB. To be exact, violent janks at the cable perpendicular to the socket, that's what w...

I don't see any advantage to USB-B.
Robustness, perhaps?
The keyboards are meant to last decades. A USB-B PCB-socket is likely to survive that timeframe, a USB-C PCB-socket is likely to end up damaged in that same timeframe.

the good thing is the inner assembly is separate in Round 2, so you can design a case and put in the inner assembly in the future. I must have missed the memo earlier; yes, this is the best news "ever". I don't like the Round 2 cases: way too bulky for my taste. That I can use them without a case m...

I'd love to have a (blank or actually labelled) keycap for the "6" in the numeric top row that actually has a bump on it. Any idea how to accomplish this? Since it is the top row, the keycap needs to be taller than a typical "F" or "J" of course.

Also, yes, I see that Caps Lock in the usual (dumb) place and the split right Shift! The more I look, the less Sun boards follow the layout I thought was their legacy. Ah well.
You should be looking at older Sun keyboards, they did it right.

Judging from the PCB layout, it seems that all keys that register zero all the time are connected to either ribbon connector pin 9 or 10 at the top (the two marked with the black marker, counting from the left). So most likely, the signal on those two pins is not reaching the processor; or the two p...

Anyone know the TMK/QMK layer logic well enough to know if I can get the lazy Fn behaviour I desire? Having to release Fn just to "make it stick" doesn't feel right.
