Re: Split ergonomic keyboard project.
Ahh.. If only I could get hold of some PCBs so I could make my version of a case and feet :p
Maybe I can make it before if there are some cad-files with good measurements...
Dirge, where did you get your measurements from?

I will drop out of the round 2 GB and buy one here instead,
I had signed up for one with reds, but after thinking about it I want one with blacks instead, if you have one left.

Re: Split ergonomic keyboard project.
I have a relatively low powered mill, so if you are thinking plastic or wood case, it can be doable, but I do not plan on making many of them.dirge wrote:If you can CNC the case can you do more than one?

Re: MOD - use a MX-Lock as Caps lock switch.
Yes, there is definately a way to do it but it will need several components, and what is wrong with a single, simple and cheap microcontroller? :p Also keep in mind that this does not simply just send a pulse on state change, but when the state of the switch does not compare to the state of the caps...

It is possible to fix this with a small change in the code, if it is a big problem :p But then you will have to turn the caps lock off/on or on/off to get the keyboard you want to use in sync with the computer. on another note: I have to order some more MX locks soon, only have one or two left, and ...

Here is a quick guide: Please ask me if you have any questions or if anything is unclear. I use a transistor to simulate the momentary key-presses that the keyboard controller expects, the base input is connected via a 15K resistor to isolate the signal enough to not mess up the way the keyboard con...

Re: MOD - use a MX-Lock as Caps lock switch.
I will make a wiki entry later. Will of course include the code I wrote for the attiny. Damorgue: Your theory is correct, so If you have another keyboard connected or use a on-screen keyboard the caps lock on that will be useless, as the chip I installed senses that the led is lit (or just the signa...

MOD - use a MX-Lock as Caps lock switch.
Hi, just finished modding my Pure to use a MX Lock on the Caps lock switch. I can make a HOW-TO if somebody is interested :) I removed the Caps lock LED in the process, as I felt is is unnecessary, but it is possible to keep that. pictures: http://oyen.in/Deskthority/attiny.jpg View of the Attiny85,...

Has anyone here done a dual keyboard/joystick device before? Re: DIY analog keyboard
Another option that avoids doing anything game pad related (but still requires a custom keyboard controller) is to add an "analog" mode to your firmware which ignores the regular keypress action on those analog keys and instead uses the hall effect readings to basically do PWM pulses on the regular...

I am also a PC gamer and on rare occations I would like this possibility, and also I am pretty sure that I can use one single Attiny85 chip to do everything, and looking at this as a fun project
