I just saw teensy for under 10€ so I think I wait a little until they arrive before I destroy the pro micro…
Here are the bigfoots. I will paste pictures after the restorations.

Re: IBM Model F BigFoot... 8521
Oh wow, thanks for the fast answer. You mean the black little one on the right?
That is very tiny... I soldered the legs on the micro several times for other Ms or Fs, but that tiny thing looks difficult....- 10 Apr 2024, 16:33

Hi, did you make it run with the Arduino Pro Micro?
I have acquired three Bigfoots and would like to use the cheaper Pro Micros instead of the expensive Teensy or Micro (without Pro).

Re: Help with xwhatsit and IBM Model F AT
Thank you, works great with "setleds". I use it in combination with Soarer and "BetterTouchTool" to send the terminal command when I press the Numlock/Scrolllock key. Now I can switch between Num Pad Mode and Navigation Cluster Mode and the Numlock LED shows me which I am in. Quite normal with Windo...

Re: Heat inserts on Model M Barrel Plate?
As said above you have to be very careful not to damage the parts that hold the flippers in place. Seems risky.
The heat could also deform the plastic and the flippers would not fit anymore or not move. I would only try on a spare keyboard…

Yes, I have the Reset key in layer 1.
And I iterated quite a lot already with my M122 keyboards. So I did only minor changes with the F122.

Works great.
I did the config with Pandrew Config and flashed it with QMK Toolbox.
Here a screenshot for other people with the same problem.

Re: Help with IBM F122 Firmware
Thanks very much! I found pandew config yesterday in another thread but now I am more certain that I can flash it. It has the F122 universal firmware I need to use. I also found the key combination how to put the controller in bootloader mode. By default it is F9 on the left F buttons (the left oute...

Re: Help with F122 Firmware
But with which firmware should I overwrite it?
I think it is this board: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=24597
I did buy it online together with the keyboard from a vintage keyboard guy here in Germany.

Help with IBM F122 Firmware (SMD controller, not Ellipse)
Hi, I restored an old IBM F122 keyboard but sadly the original controller does not work so I cannot use a Soarer converter like I did on my other Model M or F XT keyboards. But I have an SMD Model F Controller Rev. 1.0 which works, but I do not know how to configure it. I read through a lot of guide...

IBM Model M 122 Keys Spanish Keycaps
Hi,
who wants to buy a Model M converted to USB-C with Spanish keycaps and 122 keys?
It is already bolt modded and cleaned.
I am located in Germany so EU shipping preferred.
Price would be 150€.

Hi, I see the J1 jumper on the pro micro is open.
I soldered it closed on all my M122 because I read the micro provides more power to the keyboard then.

Re: Soarer's Converter Config UI
Your're welcome! For the Numlock to work like on Windows in MacOS, you need the "ifselect" feature from Soarer which is not yet implemented. Until then you have these options: - Just remap the numpad to arrow keys. You have arrow keys but no numpad. - Use layers. You have both but have to push and h...

Oh, it seems more Apple security measures... I see two options: 1. Try sudo chmod -R 755 /Applications/SCCUI.app/Contents/app/resources If you try it, please use the new beta11.1 and let me know if it worked then I can put it into the release description. https://github.com/angryc/SCCUI/releases/tag...
