Ellipse, is there an estimated timeframe on when shipping will be completed? I have a B104 on order (#22497), I see that production on that model has started from your post, but I'm curious if you know when when the factory will finish with that model.

Beam spring production update:

The factory notes that they have completed production and assembly of 80,000 Round 2 beam spring modules.

The cases, bottom and top inner assembly plates, foam, PCBs, and other small parts were approved for production last month.

I concur. I have the /dev/tty set myself and it's the highest quality keycap set I've ever owned. I bought a second one just for this beamspring keyboard. It's been sitting in boxes for a year.

caesarcaliyugula I would recommend the B122 as you can set the 10 keys on the left or the extra keys on top to be macro keys. Better to have a few extra keys I would say! The B122's extra width is about 1.5 inches or so and the board I believe has the same length dimensions as the B104.

The beam spring project is open to additional designs with a minimum order quantity. For a completely different design I'd guess there would have to be at least 10 or more orders which would be a tall order for a $400-$500 B50 macro pad. Maybe there would be greater interest in an ortholinear ...

The problem is not the cable, that is easily replaced. The problem is the demolition done to the PCB mounted USB socket on the PCB.

The keyboards are meant to last decades. A USB-B PCB-socket is likely to survive that timeframe, a USB-C PCB-socket is likely to end up damaged in that same timeframe.

Yes, each key can be programmed for whatever is allowed by QMK / Via / Vial. On my IBM F122 I set some of the additional keys for media functions, Explorer, and Calculator, for example.

Are the extra extra 18 keys in the 122 just blank spaces to program macros?

Are there approximate dimensions available for the B104 (as well as any other) configuration of the Round 2 model? I didn't see any posted on the product description page.
