Re: Siemens PG750's keyboard

Note it got heavily damaged in transport.
The serial looking port at the side is blocked off, you have to diassamble the keyboard to access it.

As requested, the ungodly tulip keyboard. Space bar is spring loaded and the key caps have an alps mount.

Since the wiki is wonky I'd like to share some pictures of this keyboard. I've seen it pop up here and there and wanted to clarify that it is just (a cute) rubberdome keyboard.

Bump!

Original buyer vanished and hasn't been online since we talked. Added some Alps keys - I used them for repairs, but haven't had a broken Alps white in years.

Re: IDENTIFY THE KEYSWITCH thread

Interesting description. I've played with the Alps mount version of SMK, which are probably very similar. Sounds like your keyboard is by Codegen. If you do a search here for CG101F (no hyphen) you'll find a youtube video (of the same model with Futaba switches). If the site was working right you ...

Any ideas about this one? At first glance I thought about a Mitsumi KDM - but the switch in the pic is clicky. And the cross is the same height as the ring.

Unfortunatly the keyboard is unbranded and the FCC ID seems to be generic: G4V3J7CG-101F

Are there super dark grey switches by Cherry?
I cleaned a G80-0581 and noticed on closer inspection that the switches are not black, but dark gray. Is this a normal color deviation or a separate switch? It feels like a normal MX Black to me :)

Up for sale is a rather weird G80-1165 by incomm.

That's probably the strangest keyboard I ever saw, with Control, Alt, and Backspace up where the missing function keys would go, the mystery pad, and the XT-size full length spacebar.

The divot over the mystery pad looks like it might have been intended for a trackball, but there aren't any ...
