Re: Great/Interesting Finds

Found this beauty in a thrift store, not sure what to do next, lol. I don't know if it's working (i've checked and it's working), otherwise it's in great shape, apart from being dusty. I'm afraid if i don't take it, it will end at a recycling centre, sooner or later... It's way too heavy and bulky f...

I have a couple of vertical mice that i want to get rid of (ie sell), is anyone here interested in all 3 of them? I bought them because i wanted to try different shapes and sizes and couldn't decide on pictures alone. Here's some pics, message me if interested in all 3 of them: https://imgur.com/a/7...

Nice, i'll bookmark this thread for future reference. :) I was thinking for some time to try and sculpt a few keycaps, followed by painting, since this is what attracts me most, but i'm still in the process of gathering info about the materials needed and techniques used for keycaps. About the moldi...

The reason i'm asking is because i've recently discovered the QMK fw builder site ( http://qmk.sized.io/ ) and all the neat things it can do for a noobie like me (including the wiring diagram!). Is the firmware updating process as easy as connecting the board to the computer and dropping the .hex fi...

Thing with the Type C is that I NEED it for the inter-connect between the two parts as I need a minimum of 6 connection including the VCC and GND. Wouldn't be easier to use RJ12 (6 pins) or RJ45 (8 pins) plugs and cables? They're also more securely attached than USB C. Like the UHK is using: http:/...

And here are two more adventurous layouts, more compact, because i can't make up my mind which one would suit me best. Take in consideration this is my first time designing such a thing, so any feedback is welcomed. As you can see, the second layout is just the split version of the first, but with a...

I have a steam controller and i'm amazed by it. It's a technical marvel, imo, and the price is really fair for what it does. Once configured properly and with some practice, it can be almost as precise as a mouse, it's incredible how precise its sensors are. No other company had the balls to rethink...

So I prefer short travel bottoming out to the linear, relatively long travel MX. Have you tried o-rings? Or, if you have the patience to open all the switches, you could try putting a little bit of rubber string (like 1mm or so, cut from an o-ring) in the tube of the mx switch lower housing (i thin...

What would be a fair price for this G80-3000LPMDE, in excellent condition? I think (correct me if i'm wrong) it's made in 2002, lasered pbt keycaps. Anything special about it?
Thanks.
