Well I did actually receive the Leopold tenkeyless red...and I have to say I'm not impressed by the switch. I forced myself to use it for a week but did not cling to it, I actually bought a Filco ANSI tenkeyless blues a while ago now because I was impressed by the tkl layout. haha. The Leopold is ...

Assuming you can 'lock' the windows key so it won't tab out if pressed - it is a gaming keyboard after all ;)

Hey webwit - thanks for the suggestions. After some discussion throughout the day, and some forum searching I managed to come up with a compromise. I bought Leopold TKL reds from a member and I intend to have the space bar modded to leopold standard by another member. Although I think I do like the ...

[Help] Tenkeyless, Reds: CMStorm, Leopold or other for Euro?

Hey guys. I need some help. I'm hoping to get a tenkeyless red board primarily for gaming. I have an existing Filco so I was hoping for something similar since I like the look and feel of it. My first idea was to get a Filco R red edition but the problem is they are mostly sold out and I can't ...

Nice idea, in fact I've done a similar one to you. However, it is based on ISO/UK Colemak to ANSI/UK Colemak!

I'm trying, or should I say 7bit is trying to get Unicomp to do this for me as part of the group buy!

This is my experiment:

Of course I am not able to do anything like that. The boards should already be cheap enough as is. I am just distributing them in Europe and not change anything about the price, let alone remove keycaps.

Teaching mum to touch type/keyboard questions.

I was going to teach my mum to touch type some time over the summer (from June or something) since I think it would be beneficial to her (plus I won't have to type out all of her papers any more lol).

I wanted to ask a few things.

First being, should I teach her how to touch type on her laptop ...

I have always used ISO but for my next planned keyboard (Unicomp) I was thinking about doing Bugfix's idea: a customized ANSI/German hybrid (but in my case it would be a UK custom). I put my keyboard about 4" from the edge of my desk and the 'B' key is centred to the monitor.

Don't know if this is correct though. And I personally never use the raisers since I find it uncomfortable and it bends your wrists.
