It's definitely not a ripoff... That's what I thought, but I still bottled out of ordering - didn't want to commit on something I'm not 100% sure I want. ...it sounds like the ultra-polling stuff will need a special driver... I don't know how it works, but there are plenty of mice that are driverle...

I'm struggling with the decision to buy, it's going to be ~£220 (€256) by the time VAT and the courier import fee is added. The case is just five layers of acrylic that has been cut out, so doesn't sound like it will be all that great and I can see why some people are saying they would just like the...

I don't actually need an ergo (I don't usually get cramp or RSI problems) but it looks very interesting. For gaming purposes it looks better than any of those control pads that are available and I don't really fancy a seperate gaming pad anyway because I like to be free of excess clutter wherever po...

wow, I am extremely late to this and there's only a few hours to go on the massdrop buy! I'll see if I can find answers in the thread, but as time is pressing would anybody be able to answer the following questions? 1) is there definitely going to be an EU group buy for this? 2) how long is the hand...

Given that Topre do different colours for the anniversay keycaps I wonder if it would be possible to get a unique colour for the whole keyboard? Although it's very easy for the wrong shade to make the effect look cheap and tacky, or you get bored of a colour very quickly after the novelty wears off....

Synaptics ThinTouch: Capacitive Touch 'Mechanical'
Interesting new concept, each key is capacitive touch activated, but there is also some physical movement to simulate a traditional, mechanical key action. Report at Anandtech

Razer 2012-13 new Black Widows: MX Brown and a tenkeyless
Hi all, I haven't posted for a while but I thought this is newsworthy for Deskthority - Razer have announced some new Black Widow mechanicals, with immediate availability in some territories. The old glossy coating is gone, MX Browns are offered (described as silent & tactile) and there is a tenkeyl...

Hungary was not discovered by an Italian and named after another Italian, like America. There is a compelling theory that America is named after a Welshman, Richard Amerike. Some people believe this to be more likely as it would be very unusual for a country to be named after the Christian name of ...

U9BL was an improved version of the Scorpius (which has been around for 17 years), and the QPAD MK-80 is a further development of the U9BL.” About why we choosed MX Cherry blue: (Dire...

That thread title is an INSULT to Stevie Wonder!!!! true, he is awesome and I have a couple of his albums so I may change the title - although the phrase "designed/drawn/constructed/whatever by Stevie Wonder " has become something of an idiom in the UK for almost any type of shoddy workmanship. No escaping the fact - this keyboard is ugly. Unfortunate, but at least it's another sign that mechanical is becoming important to brands and consumers.

One PCB per key. This idea is ingenious! Interesting, but before you get carried away will the cost work out better? Even in quantity you're looking at something like €30 per keyboard just for the controllers suggested? PIC10F200 @ Mouser Electronics Of course these are typical inflated EU prices s...

somebody can tell me how to emulate a cherry clear? I'm sure one of the gurus will confirm shortly, but I believe it's not possible emulate Clears - due to the profile of the protrusion on the side of the stem that rubs against the spring.
