It's definitely not a ripoff... That's what I thought, but I still bottled out of ordering - didn't want to commit on something I'm not 100% sure I want. ...it sounds like the ultra-polling stuff will need a special driver... I don't know how it works, but there are plenty of mice that are driverle...

I'm struggling with the decision to buy, it's going to be ~£220 (€256) by the time VAT and the courier import fee is added. The case is just five layers of acrylic that has been cut out, so doesn't sound like it will be all that great and I can see why some people are saying they would just like the...

I don't actually need an ergo (I don't usually get cramp or RSI problems) but it looks very interesting. For gaming purposes it looks better than any of those control pads that are available and I don't really fancy a seperate gaming pad anyway because I like to be free of excess clutter wherever po...

wow, I am extremely late to this and there's only a few hours to go on the massdrop buy! I'll see if I can find answers in the thread, but as time is pressing would anybody be able to answer the following questions? 1) is there definitely going to be an EU group buy for this? 2) how long is the hand...

Given that Topre do different colours for the anniversay keycaps I wonder if it would be possible to get a unique colour for the whole keyboard? Although it's very easy for the wrong shade to make the effect look cheap and tacky, or you get bored of a colour very quickly after the novelty wears off....

Beige? good lord no, some retro chic is just wrong :)

Uniform 45g or maybe 35g with the silent kit is what I would like, but Bruce wasn't interested in the silent version when I asked about it.

Synaptics ThinTouch: Capacitive Touch 'Mechanical'

Interesting new concept, each key is capacitive touch activated, but there is also some physical movement to simulate a traditional, mechanical key action. Report at Anandtech

Razer 2012-13 new Black Widows: MX Brown and a tenkeyless

Hi all, I haven't posted for a while but I thought this is newsworthy for Deskthority - Razer have announced some new Black Widow mechanicals, with immediate availability in some territories. The old glossy coating is gone, MX Browns are offered (described as silent & tactile) and there is a tenkeyl...

America definitely sounds better. Vespuccia sounds a little strange, but perhaps not as funny as it might to Italians.

yes, so if Amerigo Vespucci is really the origin of the name America it should be Vespuccia. Of course nobody can prove anything so it's just a bit of trivia to be debated by academics.

Hungary was not discovered by an Italian and named after another Italian, like America. There is a compelling theory that America is named after a Welshman, Richard Amerike. Some people believe this to be more likely as it would be very unusual for a country to be named after the Christian name of ...

One PCB per key. This idea is ingenious! Interesting, but before you get carried away will the cost work out better? somebody can tell me how to emulate a cherry clear? I'm sure one of the gurus will confirm shortly, but I believe it's not possible emulate Clears - due to the profile of the protrusion on the side of the stem that rubs against the spring.
