The feel remains solid, just a little softer.. a tough softness. The bottom out contact point remains in the switch bottom like without any dampening.

For a store bought keyboard you'll need to desolder any switch you want to open. Once out you can easily open them with a pair of tweezers.

I think you should adjust the legends color to the selected combo.. i.e. a warm (brownish) dark grey for the beige set.

As a quick overview i can say: i love it, the silencing totally works - any switch i open up gets the little silicone pellet treatment. I finally got my hands on 1mm (exactly) silicone which is juuust barely thicker than the gap ...
