Re: Cherry G80-5000HAMUS

The blockers are just pieces of square plastic with plastic pins going through the PCB. They're melted on like rivets at the back. The regular PCB holes/pads are still there, but whether or not they can be populated with switches and used without further modification is another question.

Any with A as the third letter, e.g HAAUS will have no blockers.

I have no experience with ergodox, if I had to design a set it would be a guesstimate. I've made an ergodox kit for granite but DSA is a flat profile so definitely simpler. If any Ergodox user wants to design the ergo kit I'm more than happy to include it. In the mean time DevTty_TKL_C1R03.jpg Prou...

I haven't been able to find any free 3D CAD software that isn't awful. I would recommend finding some way of acquiring Solidworks, Siemens NX or Autodesk Inventor. I personally prefer Solidworks for keyboards, although NX is probably objectively better. I haven't tried Inventor but I've heard good t...

I like the flat bottom row and spacebar, without question. Angled spacebars either present an uncomfortable ridge to the thumb, or require being rotated around so that its angle no longer matches that of the other bottom row keys. All of that nonsense is solved by a flat spacebar and flat modifiers...

Remember that G81-3015HAR you sold me? It's a great reference, since AEG Olympia boards have mixed profile bottom rows. http://i.imgur.com/W3tOrzr.jpg The bottom row arrow/numpad keys are steep, tall A-profile. The Controls/Alts are low, flat B-profile. A good indicator is the spacebar. If...

Wow. A SEBUS? I've never heard of or seen one of those before. Could you tell me : Is the bottom row A-profile or B-profile? I would suggest that $450 would be a good price regardless of the bottom row profile, but right now I think you will have trouble selling it for that. I say this because alien...
