Both non-mechanical, but the Cherry keyboard has mechanical blacks on the programmable section with included clear keycaps.
Fujitsu rubber-dome keyboard. Both are new but have been in storage for a few years.

The red/green legends are colour coded based on Shift/Alt modifiers.
The orange legends indicate 'Gold key' shortcuts - you press the Gold key (PF1/Num Lock), release, then press the orange legend key.

Glad you like it. It is genuinely brand new which made is so much more desirable in my eyes.

Of course my wife didn't see the point, but the folk at my DEC Legacy event will appreciate it from a DEC perspective.

I recently painted the case on my HHKB 2 as it wasn't responding to my half-arsed retrobrite attempt. Having said that the space bar did come up fairly well.

I use Contour Rollermouse on all of my keyboards, so physical width isn't an issue from an ergonomics point of view.

Found the spring woot! I never seem to be able to do a job like this without taking it apart multiple times.

First time I've done a respray. Light wet and dry, then two coats of Rustoleum primer then two coats of Rustoleum Gun Metal. I protected the main keys with 10mm stickers, the space bar stabilizers and kickstand housings with Blutack.

I tried retrobriting the case but it didn't work - it was too far ...

Oh, I just checked back into Deskthority after a millenium off here and noticed this post after having tried to find info about wiring up an LK250 which is kinda XT compatible.

Last time I tried the Linux LK201 kernel support it didn't work correctly with a proper LK201. It did used to work and ...

I use rollermouse at work all the time - no more issues with wrists.
I have a red in pretty much unused conditions (my classic is the only one that works with my work computer which is a SunRay) for sale - I'll upload to the sale section shortly, if anyone is interested.

We had one for two years and it was reliable, cheap to run. We've now moved on to a 500X and that is great too.

It's such a shame the keys on these things just feel so crap. I used the one I'm selling for a bit but just couldn't quite get over that crap key feeling - that's coming from someone who uses DEC keyboards a lot too!
