we broke the board. the keys work, but nkro is broken. w, n and 7 was swapped, they work together, but not w+e, n+m, 7+8 etc. funny thing is, when i try to push down q+e+r+t+w, the keyboard freezes. any ideas? well, i guess it's just broken.

leaf broke, change switch

hey, today one of my cherry switch's leaves broke and i'm thinking about swapping the whole switch with one from another board. do you have any experience with swapping switches and is it easy to do? it looks like there's 4 soldering joints for each base. i'm thinking about having my brother do the ...

i want to spend my money... i would have already bought a filco red from the keyboard company, but seeing that they sell their boards via amazon to the US for like 50% less, i've reconsidered and keep asking myself why they're that much more expensive in europe. i mean, it's the same company.

alright, thanks for the answer. now i have to rethink again? it is time for me to spend some money, though. been thinking about a new keyboard for over a month now. +50% $ in EU compared to US keeps me from buying a filco/ducky/whatever..

steelseries 6gv2 springs

hey,

is it possible to change the springs of the 6gv2 with some lighter ones without soldering? i've read about how to remove the springs on other keyboards without soldering, but is it possible on the 6gv2?

i love the sound of the steelseries board, even when bottoming out. that's why i want this ...

the razer abyssus is my first mouse >$30 and i'm quite happy with it. never needed additional buttons anyway. the only thing i really don't like about it is the switches on the back of the mouse (to adjust resolution etc). they are not held in place properly and make noises when you move the mouse ...

heights

hey everyone,

i am wondering if there is a perfect height for everything. i've been using a computer desk for quite a while now which holds the keyboard at 62cm. my forearm, however, is pressed towards the board above it, finally giving me a reason to think about a new desk. i've decided to try out ...

someone said something very interesting, so i'd like to give this as an answer to your question, rokccf:

in games where you immediately see the result of your action, eg. fps, you don't need any tactile bump.

however, i did not understand his reasoning about RTS needing tactile bumps, but that's ...

which cherry switch would you recommend for keypads? my guess is that harder switches like blacks or clears might be the right choice, even if you usually type with browns/blues?

as long as i can type WD! at once, i'm fine. never needed more than 3 keys at once, although sometimes i end up strafing and turning, so accidently i might need 4, because i wouldn't want the 4th key to be not registered in that case.

edit: actually, that's not really the case. if i strafe+turn, i ...

Brown is good for starter board, and then you work your way through with other switches when you feel like adventuring

that's what i've decided for myself, too. i'll go with browns. however, i can't find any 105 key boards with browns except the filcos. the thing with filco is - they're ...

i wish i knew why thekeyboardco ships it through amazon to the US for WAY less than the 130gpb listed on their site. would have really wanted to give it a shot. looks nice, although i'm not quite sure if i should go for the reds for my first mechanical keyboard.
