This solder sucker is the best manual one I have used hands down. I find it makes my life a lot easier (was also on the input club list).
Also use a lot of flux if the joint is being stubborn, this is a god-send with working with lead-free solder. Also use a lot on the wick when you're using one ...

Yeah the original kit was a good price and came with the case. The pre-assembled kit that I linked is unfortunately more at 580CNY = 75EUR.
Just be warned about the counterfeit teensy, you might have to: replace it with a genuine one, use the utility I linked, or reflash the bootloader with a USBISP.

I assume it's for speed more than anything, being able to touch type numbers a little quicker without leaving the home-row.
