403 means the server is blocking the client for some reason. It has nothing to do with the client, except that the server has been configured not to let that client access things. Very strange.

ErgoDoxian is great, but it's not a complete modifier set – it has 19 keys, of which not more than 16 can be used on the keyboard at one time. It also has no consideration of rows as far as I can tell - which means it won't work well with contoured key families.

I've long wondered why there has never been a set of keys for the ErgoDox that have legends. Without getting into the argument for blank keycaps, some people strongly prefer legends on their keys. The blank keys are already part of the ErgoDox set (and every other ErgoDox set).

I still think it would be a nice option to have the labeled keys. People will most likely be buying the ErgoDox set with it so will have the option of having blanks wherever they want. If they want labeled keys, they have them as well.

Here's a partial revision. I don't think it looks too bad. The only problem is that if the person minds which way the text is oriented, their options on where they put them become a bit more limited (i.e. if they want it facing down to up on the left and up to down on the right, then they need to be ...

Of course, I'm advocating for a printed keycap set, primarily because there haven't really been any printed sets available. In fact I'm not aware of any fully-labeled sets for the ErgoDox. Not everyone wants blank keys, no matter how skilled a touch typist they may be.

Okay, here we go. The R3/R4 thing threw me for a loop, but in the end it wasn't that big of a deal. In fact I had put in keys to allow you to make a 4-way arrow cluster (which required swapping an R3 up arrow with a R4 key above it), but now that's not necessary since they're both R4.

It's impossible to foresee all possible configurations, we tried with Granite and we covered a mere 70%. To have all options double-shot we would need to sell like 200 ergodox kits :)

Just for the record, I'm a fan of the WCK cream color, as I think it goes better with the brown and burgundy.

On the ErgoDox, is the issue of the modifiers being blank that the ErgoDox is traditionally highly customized (and thus labeling the keys might limit the user), or is it that the 1.5u keys would each need to be custom-designed and thus cost-prohibitive?

Tadersy, Falbatech just sells bare PCBs, although they will add diodes and such as a service. I assume this is not done by machine, however. I think in the end, what most people would like is a cheaper option for the case, which is impossible to produce cheaply right now using prototyping techniques ...

In particular, I imagine many DIYers in the forum would like a cheaper option for an Ergodox case, and since you are injection-molding yours, they should be significantly less expensive than current options.
