I kind of assumed this. The dye subs are amazing quality. From everything I can tell, on par with Cherry's.

i'm comparing my set (mainly the control/alt) directly to a cherry pad printed key and they don't look similar at all. But my caps lock, both controls, both alts and the + from the numpad kind of look like there is pad that was added to the top of the key...but why would they do it to the + key? Isn...

looks like a fake alps. same basic design, but that area that keeps the leaf from moving left to right is something i have never seen. i am for sure not an alps expert though.

I forgot to post these pics over here. This is the 2nd of 2 prototype PCBs we ordered. I was able to test the ISO layout and make sure it worked and then continued to build a complete ANSI layout Phantom. I have it in a Filco Zero case. All keycaps shown are 100% authentic Cherry Corp caps

I just called them and the guy said 250 is the MOQ and $1.44 is the correct price per switch but they are available for order.

did you check with macmall for these? they show they have a 250pack of switches for $260. might not actually be in stock though.

do these feel different than blues?

That 11800 does not deserve such awesome caps. There's only a few boards those caps should be allowed to be on.

The black MYs don't feel like typing on a dead dog, but they're still far from great. Maybe I'll try to put some g80-3000 guts inside in the future, but the cases would need some retrobrighting, I don't know if I want to mess with that stuff. Those cases look good to me. They were never 100% white,...

Anyway, if anyone is interested in one of the keyboards/keycaps, I'm open to offers. Otherwise I'll probably end up trashing the keyboards and keep the keycaps only. The cases are of good quality otherwise, twice as thick plastic as modern G80/G81-3000s. Too bad that the innards of modern G80-3000'...

the font in what you have shown some of the letters are too skinny. look at keys like the W and B. They are wider in the original cherry font.

except your Z, it is too wide, haha.

Buckling springs are much nicer than Cherry blues! Blue MX are scratchy - buckling springs are smooth like well oiled machinery! That is opinion. Buckling springs are really heavy and for some people that is gonna be a bad way to go. I love buckling springs but I don't like to type on them for long...
