Re: Re:

I've started considering this... again. Recently noticed that the arrow keys bottom out with a jarring plasticky impact which goes away when squeezing the plates together. A partial bolt mod seems like the most practical solution at the moment. I assume it's as easy as drilling where broken rivet w...

just got back...after 7 hours of cap pulling with two paid helpers and 4 movies I now have 67 "normal" and 31 "like new" sets ready. Will type up more invoices when my fingers feel better. Picture is about half of the caps. I also found several boards that have a cutout for a trackpoint, I will off...

I like the clears I just got of biniris but the normal springs are too heavy and the brown springs sometimes don't bounce back up. Is there any other spring options? The stem not bouncing back is due to the leaf inside the switch housing. This happens a lot more on brand new boards because the leaf...

Re: Cherry Dyesub PBT keys (yeah, the super rare/expensive o

So there's a difference between dye subs and the new obtained. But how about between dye subs and cherry doubleshots? When they are that thick does pbt really make a $300+ difference?

Is there really a difference in feel betwen a full PBT dyesub set and a PBT lasered set? In the end i like the way that doubleshots look over everything else. They are thick and i'm 99% sure I can't tell the difference between them. IMO, the thickness matters the most (that's what she said). If you ...

Re: Keyboard sound levels - MX Brown is LOUD

Id be willing to bet browns were 1st simply cause they were bottoming out.

Seems like a crappy test when they only have 1 brown keyboard and multiples of blue and black.

You know how CERN discovered neutrinos that go faster then the speed of light? Well all the SLOWER THAN ones are clustered in Lexington Kentucky right where Unicomp is located. Every so often I think Unicomp has discovered the secret to reversing time. I lol'd. I can't imagine a forum without you.

I don't own a Topre yet, not sure if I actually want one, but when I do get one, I want it to be uniform 45g or uniform 30g (still need to try that though) so I was just looking at options. I had no idea a swap like that was possible.

I asked a friend to order some from unicomp locally, but that still took 2 months, so be patient... Haha, yup. Basically, the bigger the order, the longer it takes for them to get on it. And then of course, the bigger the order, the more likely there is to be a mistake. And then if there is a mista...

I've been told that -- perhaps -- purchasing a powered PS/2-USB adapter, which would allow the Model M to be plugged into the mobo as a USB device -- may improve overall speed. This proves that it is not a hardware issue. If the problem was still present in safe mode, then I'd say sure, try that ad...

Don't worry guys. I personally know the guy that is handling this buy for 7bit and he is a stand up guy. It's delayed because Unicomp is slow on these kinds of orders. I've waited a few weeks just to have a $15 order shipped.
