There is no keyboard, this is an IC. And if you're getting tired of notifications, delete your subscription. It ain't that hard... Sorry if I used words that were too big for you to understand, I'll lower my speaking level for your convenience. There is a keyboard being developed here. I am interes...

I'm tired of getting thread notifications about a keyboard when you people aren't talking about the keyboard at all, but instead, you are pedantically squabbling over terminology unrelated to this thread. Please take it elsewhere.

M$-Windows Wow...classy...and I thought only juveniles still said that and thought they were being clever... Rather than spreading FUD, you might want to do 2 minutes of research so you can give your potential customers accurate information. Teensy is programmable on all of the major operati...

Stuff works and looks pretty, but how am I supposed to push the button on the Teensy when it's inside the case? Am I missing something here, or am I just too tired to think? Unless you make a custom case with a hole for it...then you're NOT supposed to. :) You need to program it before you put it i...

Question: is it possible to have LEDs both in the switches and between the six pack and Pause/Printscreen/Rollen keys? :) Yes. It's definitely possible. I think you need 3 resistors, instead of 2, though. If I remember correctly, the Scroll Lock shares a resistor between the key light and the case ...

When the GH60 group buy starts, I will start mine! And it will end sometime in 2015. 8-) Starting a group buy has never been your problem...finishing one and making sure people get what they expected is your problem. Are you going to prototype and test your design after it's done or just straight t...

How is that going to fit into your case design for this keyboard?

It is the same as with the Phantom.
Except the Phantom didn't support this many layouts and end up with a PCB that looks like Swiss cheese...just sayin. ;)

Needs to be reigned in quick or it'll turn into Round 4 all over again...just build it, they will come. Less time planning, more time executing. :)

Yup, those are Costar stabilizers. The plate was made to be compatible with those as well as plate-mount Cherry stabilizers. It's just the PCB that can't support PCB-mount Cherry stabilizers. EDIT: if you want Cherry stabilizers, you can get the 2x stabilizers and wires from Mouser here: Mounts: htt...

LOL with all these restrictions on how you *should* assemble electronics, it's amazing we can even make a phonecall, much less put a remote-controlled robot on MARS. :) Although, on that front, I recall there being a couple of high-profile cases where video cards that went flaky would be "fixed" by ...

Can't you just re-liquefy the solder after trimming and achieve the same thing? Trimming before soldering makes thing a much bigger pain to me.

+1 to what litster said. When I installed my Costar mounts, they needed to be forced into place a little bit. I posted this above as well but I'll summarize here. There are 2 notches on the clip, one of them is designed as a sort of "spring", start with this one. Seat it fully, then push the stabili...

If any of those Round 2 people flaked out on a LU set, I'd love the chance to upgrade my Round 3 order from a U to a LU, if possible. And I hope you have a speedy recovery from the hospital and no complications. Going under the knife is never fun.

Hmm. I found that a mounted switch can not be opened if the switch position has stabilisers. A little bit of filing fixed that, and it does not affect the use of the Costar stabiliser mounts that I got in the kit. I dunno about Cherry stabilisers, though, 'cause I haven't got any to try with. I was...

There's no need for any of that. If the stabilizers look like they are bowed inward, then you haven't seated them fully. The stabilizers have notches that should fit snugly around the plate, push them in fully, and these notches should snap into place. If you push gently from the bottom, in the midd...

Yeah, the Cherry stabilizers are working very well. Especially if you have new stabilizers. I put some used stabilizers into the purple Phantom that came from some 25-year old Wyse boards. Those can get pulled out when you're removing keys sometimes, but it only happens on keys that get REALLY stuck...

Latest update on my Phantom project. I had to order a new desoldering iron after my Radio Shack special crapped out, so I upgraded to the Hakko 808. What a nice machine that is to work with. It showed up on Tuesday so last night I set about desoldering 2 Dolch keyboards and liberating them of their ...
