Short description: title says it all.
Long description: I am very much into mechs (currently I'm at 5 boards). However for work in a crowded office the ones that feel real good are a no no, because of the noise which is majestic to me, but not to others (those weird people who don't have a mech ...

Re: Opinion on speed silverswitches (Hyperx keyb)
With Speed Silver you will bottom out too early and hurt your fingers. I'd just get normal reds or yellows.
If I'm paying for a full-travel keyboard, I'm using the full travel.
Well in most cases this would be a correct statement. However, since I had the pleasure of learning 10 finger typing ...

Re: Opinion on speed silverswitches (Hyperx keyb)
Thank you all for the opinions. Unfortunately distance between me and the other person makes the trying out part uneconomical.
Decided in the end that I will spray lube this Cherry board, to make it a bit smoother, because the switches look really tricky to open up without causing bad damage to ...

Opinion on speed silverswitches (Hyperx keyb)
I would kindly like to request an assistance. I am a semi proud owner of one Cherry g84 keyb, and I am thinking about exchanging it for one hyperx keyboard with speed silver switches.
The problem is that I never had any experience with speed silver switches (or any Kailh made to be more precise ...

Re: Alps wax mod - procedure & evaluation!
I've got an ultra top secret (well not really, it's just a trade secret...) lube from Japan which I use for lubing my Dell keybs. It's effects are aren't eternal, as it starts to ware off in about 9-12 months.

Re: Favorite cheap/budget keyboard(s)?
Went out on a binge shopping spree (all used boards, for cheap). This was the first arrival: https://www.speedlink.com/RAPAX-Gaming-Keyboard-black/SL-6480-BK.
Although it looks atrocious, and the spacebar rattle will be hard to fix (springs are used as stabilizers) I am quite actually amazed how ...

Re: Favorite cheap/budget keyboard(s)?
Everyone praises these and tells that they are cheap as chips. Can someone please show me where can they be bought cheap (EU) with shipping (because I haven't found any in my country)?

Re: Longterm Daily Drivers
My first vintage keyboard was a Dell AT102W and it's stood the test of time. When I first had it, it was a mess and I've spent a LOT of time on it cleaning it, messing with the switches (which were surprisingly clean) and using it for all tasks. It's a great keyboard and I've used it without the ...

Let's say for the sake of the argument, I was to get some random money... And some of that money I decide to invest into a keyboard with some clickety clack keys (let's say I like the sound of mx blues, if I understood the youtube review of key correctly). Which affordable keyboard would you suggest ...

Well this is starting to look like a real thread, maybe we will even get some flaming on? Flaming is nice (and puts our keyboards to good use)
Fortunately, DT is usually free of flamewars. It's a pretty nice place to be, at least it has been for as long as I've been here. Flamewars aren ...

Looking for a cheap keyboard
First of all I would like to say Hi!!! to all forum members. It's my first post!!! (I've been reading though for a long time)
This is my problem. I'm on a tight budget. I'm used to Logitech ultrax premium (had it for ages), but sadly it's time has passed.
So I'm for a similar keyboard. The ...
