Bluetooth 4.0 BLE-USB-Bridge - HID Proxy - legacy - TV adapter/dongle

Not sure if a lot of people will find this useful, but I've been offering these for a while on Ebay and recently a buyer suggested I blow the horn about it on the forum to give it a little more exposure. The price on Ebay is 20€ + shipping, but I can take a discount outside of Ebay, of course. =^) B...

Re: IBM Model M BT-USB controller conversion kits

Thank you for your reply. I'm only familiar with QMK and already have a "default" set of TapDance, Macros etc., I use of my board, so it would be very easy for me if it was available. But if your firmware can handle the likes of TapDance and Macros without too much hustling I could off corse use th...

Re: IBM Model M BT-USB controller conversion kits

Could this run qmk by any chance? If QMK can be compiled for XMEGA MCUs, yes. Keep in mind though that you would be pretty much on your own with this, I would really only be supplying the raw silicon, so to speak, no technical support as far as firmware issues are concerned. Would you mind explaini...

Re: IBM Model M BT-USB controller conversion kits

possible to make one for a new Model F from Model F labs? I have one on order and would like to convert it to bluetooth. No. F series keyboards have capacitive switches, so in order to be able to scan the matrix the microcontroller must be able to sense variations in capacity. My crummy little cont...

Re: IBM Model M BT-USB controller conversion kits

I can imagine that some people are currently having more urgent things to take care of than planning a conversion of their old Model M keyboard, but just letting you know I'm ready to make another batch. If the state of things keeps on deteriorating at the current pace this may be the last batch eve...

Re: Solderless adapter socket for HC-xx, HM-xx BT modules (breadboard, Arduino, prototyping)

People over at Geekhack seem to be having a really hard time understanding what I'm offering here. I hope it is clear to everyone who's reading this that it is not about the depicted BT module (blue PCB), but the socket adapter (green PCB with spring contacts). You cannot buy such an adapter anywher...

Not dead yet indeed! Do you plan on doing something for model F's? Re: Deskthority Awards 2019 ~ Phase 1: The nominations

It has an MX mount, so it's not that useless. ... The value is mostly that you can't sell it and it's not easily reproduceable (although, y'know, Chinese guys). Sure, agreed, but why a wing nut? Apparently because nuts and bolts are symbolic of 'mechanics'. I reckon that's why it was chosen to repr...

Re: Deskthority Awards 2019 ~ Phase 1: The nominations

on a side note, what does a (artistic, useless) wing nut have to do with keyboards? Isn't a wing nut more reminiscent of an era when there were no computers, and hence no computer keyboards (mechanical or other)? My crummy little keyboard controller project has not been nominated (it was featured in...

I hate to come across like an ass for not wanting to chip in unconditionally, but would it be possible to create a bar chart showing the current funds needed vs. donations made? Re: older Mac mini or notebook

here's a little update: I've installed macOS 10.14 Mojave on a VM running on a Windows PC and the USB issue that I was going to investigate did not occur in that environment. Apparently, it does indeed make a difference whether macOS is running on Apple hardware or in a VM. Hence I would still be in...

older Mac mini or notebook

Hi there fellas, I know this is a keyboard forum, but I'm afraid I need a Mac for development and testing of USB devices. I would be interested in a used Mac Mini or a MacBook (or whatever Apple calls its devices). Doesn't matter if the case has kinks or chipped edges, I just need something that can...

Re: IBM Model M BT-USB controller conversion kits

I've overhauled the firmware, communication with host app is now completely driverless. Additionally, I (finally!) made a USB HID bootloader, so performing a firmware update will be easy from now on (although the added utility may seem somewhat marginal, it's still good to have!). I've also tweaked ...

Ok then, I will give it a try, and get back to you in case I find enough people. I'd do a groupbuy thread as well, but I still lack permission for now, and I'm not entirely sure if it qualifies as one. I don't think such a thread would qualify as a 'group buy' thread because there is nothing to buy...

Re: IBM Model M BT-USB controller conversion kits

That would be entirely sufficient, in case you should actually commit to it. How about a Groupbuy thread for a board with PS/2 support? Or I could ask around in a few DOS/retro forums and try to create some demand, if you're ok with that? Sure, why not, give it a shot. But be aware that, initially,...

Re: IBM Model M BT-USB controller conversion kits

You probably won't find such a converter. Besides the issue of writing a device driver that would allow USB devices to work in DOS (and one for your controller to talk to that) there would also be a serious bandwidth issue with the PS/2 port. Trying to shove the cat through the keyhole, as the old ...

Re: IBM Model M BT-USB controller conversion kits

Would a version of your controller that supports both the USB & PS/2 protocol be feasible, and would you consider it for a premium? Well, I suppose I could do that, but I usually don't take feature requests as long as I cannot find at least 10 people that will find it useful. Spending a lot of time...

ah, very interesting! way to go guys!

While my measurements roughly square with zool's as far as total bounce time is concerned, I didn't see any actual bouncing. I guess I need to change some settings on the scope to see some actual bouncing?
