Hopefully nobody will be using bricks except in rare fits of frustration hahaha. But we probably have to plan for 10 fingers and 2 feet simulatenously (probably more). And as HuBandiT noted, sometimes two people play together (e.g. teacher and student). So NKRO gets to well over 12, I suppose. Any ...

Thanks DMA - appreciate your response. CommonSense controller could be a great solution but as you note getting the velocity information would be an issue. Fully bypassing the very slow MIDI transmission speeds is a tough challenge. . . Not really. MIDI uses 31250 bps with 1 start/1 stop/8 data bit...

There's no reason for keyfeel to be any different as the springs / hammers are identical to those in the M - they are interchangeable. Since the metal backplate also plays a part in the "keyfeel", I doubt that. I got enough Ms - my fingers know the difference. Plus, the M2 doesn't have the curvatur...

I'm not sure what voltage it is expecting. I tried the following: • 5V -- no lights • 7V -- all lights come on and stay lit • 9V -- all lights come on and stay lit. The board lets out a constant "beep" • 12V -- all lights come on and stay lit. The board lets out a brief "ray gun"/"pew" noise when I...

I've recently acquired two other little Arduino-compatible boards which can be used for Soarers Converter. I added pictures of the lower part of the shell and the LED part of the upper part to my post above. At a glance, without taking exact measurements, it looks exactly like the lower part of the shell of "normal" 122-key Model Ms with SDL sockets. So, it should work by "just" adding a matching daughte...

The only anomaly (which I don't really know whether is an actual anomaly) is that the Pause key registers its down and up events in 7..11 ms, independently of how long I actually press the key.
