Re: [Progress]CommonSense controller - better capsense.
If you need any more volunteers, I'm willing to help out. Have a displaywriter and a F122 which are ready to test. Somehow I missed this thread before and just stumbled upon it. Thanks for the offer! lot_lizard's package is supposed to be on my porch any day now, that should cover my beamspring nee...

Will the keycaps be available in the 2nd run also? I don't want to make any more changes to my already very difficult order.

Re: Split, Ortholinear Beamspring...
I don't plan to make irreversible changes to any beamspring. The switches can easily be moved and then returned to the displaywriter without any damage. I had been thinking of creating an acrylic casing for the sandwich with a custom split pcb and then eventually a whole new case. Sent from my Nexus...

Re: Split, Ortholinear Beamspring...
Oh my god! I've been mulling this over in my head for so long now. I just didn't have the tools to measure out the pads etc to design the PCB. I'd be down to help test anything if you are looking for test subjects. I have a displaywriter which I can source the switches from. What about the controlle...

Re: [IC] Sandblasting and Powdercoating Keyboard/Typewriter Parts
Hmm. I will probably get my 2 displaywriters done. And perhaps an At if I get the time to cut the holes for ANSI layout.

Re: [IC] Sandblasting and Powdercoating F and Beamspring Top Plates
I might be interested depending on cost. Again, since these parts should not be seeing much abuse and aren't usually visible, what would the value of this project be?
I'm assuming you are talking about the inner to plates and not the cases...

Re: (Model MF) Remodeling the Model M
Unfortunately, i only have one xwhatsit, ordered just 3 of each color LED, and i don't want to desolder a board just to mix green and white. I think lot_lizard has more than one controller, so he could probably get that picture. FYI, if you want to make your own, i have attached gerbers to this pos...

Re: Probably a stupid question about adding an LED
Are you trying to replicate the LED in the screen frame of old IBM Thinkpads? It used to be angled down to light up the keyboard to help when working in the dark.

you will find this very useful https://www.pjrc.com/teensy/tutorial2.html basically, connect the LED to any pin and Gnd. But you WILL need a resistor between the pin and LED. the pin could be any which you can control in code including the numlock pin. the resistor value depends on the LED you are u...

Yes, the brilliant white would look amazing. I'd prefer a non-OS specific icon or wording on the win keys. Meta and super are perfect.

Re: F62+F77 orders now open! New Kishsaver+Industrial Model F Keyboards
I was looking at the expansion header of those compact xwhatsit controllers and was wondering - are there any non-IBM solenoids that you can buy today that can be directly driven by the xwhatsit controller and not needing the solenoid driver board? Maybe one that meets the power requirements, maybe...

Re: (Model MF) Remodeling the Model M
For the SSK we are still going for the phosphorglow mod with the LED under caps lock? I'm PMing Phosphorglow about what would be ideal to potentially support LEDs under every key. Whether or not it ever happens, we would still be setup so that the plates wouldn't need to be altered to support it at...
