To be fair, 250€ still is less than what Nixies went for about a year ago. And the seller probably accepts offers well below that price tag. Whoever placed the winning bid on the latest auction (<120€) got himself a reasonably good deal.

mmh, security by obscurity is always a bad move. Personally I think this should stay open, if club members want to open a private thread they are welcome to do so. I don't think the main thread should be visible to registered users only, but if there's a strong feeling about this I'll open a poll a...

I doubt that the forum software supports something like 10 posts per month or total posts >250 to gain access to a thread. Otherwise, I'd prefer such an approach.

We recently witnessed how time consuming and investing the registration process is. I only bring this up to emphasize that it wouldn't change much, if at all.

@ spikebolt That's all you read in there? The problem I have is with unregistered lurkers and (next to)non-active registered users. By mentioning veterans who are not club members I already made it clear that paying the club's fee is definitely not the only way to contribute. Take andrewjoy for exam...

The only downside for the public/registered users thread would be losing out on some finds by club members, who rather share it with a smaller, and most importantly, familiar group. Partially, this already has been the case as several members would pm each other about items they knew to be of intere...

@Seebart No, of course not. Just supporting kbdfr's point. After all, you certainly aren't a target of these rants. And you know it! :P

@Tentator Dunno, might be the case, I didn't notice it being posted here.

One can expect three or four bidders and a final price of 15 to 20€. Not necessarily, that's pure speculation. And moving this thread isn't going to change much either, people who are looking for Cherry G8X-1800 with doubleshots will find this if they search well enough."Old keyboard" isn't exactly...

Leave this thread as it is, create a club only one like Halvar (and others) suggested.
Every club member decides on his/her own where to post an item. Can't possibly blame DT for that if someone rather shares the finds with people who actually have some presence.

Don't think you need to worry. Seller mentioned that he might have more available while I asked him about terms of payment. Someone bought the remaining 8 while I was waiting for a reply. And the pic he sent me showed a unit with Nixies.

Interested in two sets of caps. Xmit, would you mind proxying them separately if the vendor only ships whole units?
