If you do have even one black specifically, I'd be extremely happy with being able to get it. A red one would interest me as well...7bit wrote: ↑ I might have 2.75 units blank black keys left. At least I had them in white, red and grey.

I'd definitely like to see clear terms for the wiki text content just like most wikis have. With no clear terms I guess the original authors retain their copyright and it's unclear what rights exactly even deskthority itself has on the content... A wiki as a platform could be seen as implying at lea...

I always blamed it on Geekhack being hosted in the US as opposed to Deskthority in Europe, but it looks like it's slow for everyone. To be fair, being hosted in the US can have a major effect. HTTPS can also make it much slower since there will be more round trips involved and you should not use co...

I strongly doubt that an EC2 micro instance would be sufficient for running GH though.scottc wrote: ↑ Takes about $2 to provision a server in AWS. Even less if you just use the free tier for your first year...

This sheds some light on why they're still down.@geekhackinfo: Our 8+ year relationship with our datacenter provider was officially terminated today. When we have a plan, we'll let you know.
Never mind. I'm blind and only read the comments after the one where this was already posted.

Haha, this resurrected thread has comments on how "reddit noobs" spoiled GH. Ran into another much older thread on DT about how even before that GH was spoiled by OCN noobs. Guess some things happen again and again. There will always be new people. Some of them stay interested and eventually become ...

I just checked again and now can't get to his account. looks Twitter removed it. I saw that link to the YouTube video but didn't watch it. Are you sure it's not just he himself who removed it? Twitter has a history of being pretty permissive with these things (which I think is a good thing). lulzse...

Yeah they said it would be down for the weekend, which doesn't make any sense if the attack is over... Seriously? I don't understand what they're trying to accomplish with that at all... Guess there's some similar logic involved as in "making a statement about hacking" by doing a denial of service ...

Still hosted on iMav's home server :? The website has no real upkeep costs, so any donations go elsewhere .. At least that's what I heard. Please do correct me if I'm wrong. The IP whois data does seem to suggest it's at least located in a data center. Wonder what kind of traffic GH gets, wo...

That's nice. Just didn't know the term I needed to look for to find it previously. Took a look at a pre-downtime tab that has GH open and yeah, it does seem to have a "Spy" on the menu.SL89 wrote: ↑ GH has had this feature as long as I've been around.

Try the forum spy. We have less threads around here but they're generally pretty busy and informative. First of all though: where's your monocle? This is DT, gentlemen! Thanks!
