Need something proxied from Sweden (EU)

Hey everyone, a friend of mine wants to order something from Sweden, but after paying they refunded saying they couldn't ship to the US. Can someone that lives in the EU (preferably Sweden) that can proxy this for me? I'd of course pay for your time and efforts. Thanks! :D

Re: Thickness of foam for Model F XT

At these sizes I'd just go with the 2.3mm foam, you're talking a difference of only 300μm from the 2.0mm you've been recommended. For reference, a strand of hair is usually around 100-150μm wide.

I can help you out, though shipping might not be much cheaper overall depending on what you are ordering.

Re: IBM Model F, M, and HHKB

This site makes me feel like I’m the only one that loves model M and F (F over M), but only in short bursts. I can not imagine using these boards full time. HHKB is a modern, usable, every day non stop board. To me at least. You aren't the only one, I love them too but I can't use them full time. F...

Re: Whatever happened to ________?

I'm alive. Indeed, 2019 is probably the worst year I've ever experienced. But I hope to start being active around here again. Anyone who has needed me in the meantime... Sorry for the delays.

Whatever happened to me? Well... Real life is as terrible as ever. Not much else to elaborate on. I'm sure other people can relate.

For what it's worth, Matias just made an update in the 60% thread on Geekhack that PBT keycap creation is finally finishing up. I'll believe it when I see it, but I actually believe that he is close. Dyesubbed? Yeah and he said that they should fit most layouts and will be sold separately. Hopefull...

Keyboards have become a money making scheme to a lot of people which really ruins the fun for us nerds. I dont live near any recycle centres so the best chance I have of getting cheap mechanical boards is via ebay, and that place is plagued with reddit guys looking to profit from boards they got fo...

How much would a Japanese AEK go for these days? I remember selling my NIB JP version for $100 a few years ago but it seems AEKs have gotten more expensive for some reason.

Imagine that. This is the first time I've logged in for a couple of weeks. For some reason I don't have a whole lot of desire to visit anymore. That's not to say anything about Deskthority, it's still my home, but I suppose keyboards just don't mean as much to me anymore.

These are somewhat common. It's probably an Acme K8, though this one looks ever so slightly different than the usual one. There is an incomplete entry on the wiki for it.

There's no keysets currently manufactured to replace these with. You could do about 90% with one of Tai Hao's keysets though.

I'd argue that sellers make very little profit on shipping costs, at least in my experience as a seller.
