Gee, I didn't take that photo, but this is precisely the kind of comment that makes me think twice about posting one. :( I have a very modest camera so I seldom take photos, anyway.

Thank you both for replying and keeping my sanity in check. The ebay status finally got updated. All looks fine now. My prrrrecious is currently in the 'Customs Documentation and Labeling' stage.

UPAAA is the ebay international fulfillment program. The seller shipped the board to ebay's fulfillment center and they're going to forward it to you. No problem 8) That's what it sounds like to me too. Great, I do hope you're right! Thanks. This is the first time I buy something off ebay. Did I me...

What's the format of the tracking number? I think it would be nearly impossible for an international package to be mistakenly delivered within the USA. My guess is that the seller uploaded the wrong tracking number for this auction. The tracking number displayed on ebay is UPAAA followed by 15 digi...

Ebay, overseas delivery, USPS... panic!

I won my first ebay auction a few days ago for a blue-label IBM Model M 1391401. The seller is based in the US and the item's page on ebay says that shipping to France is assured by "International Priority Shipping". For about a day or two, clicking the tracking number on ebay (a tracking number sta...

Really scratchy and really hard to activate if you're not on the exact middle of the keycap. Ugh, that board suddenly became a lot less sexy. But I do like the layout. I do recall an old thread here about some really neat Cherry switches that are not made anymore, but I don't remember their name. I...

"Rough" as in scratchy / overall unpleasing or as in high actuation force required? Oh, and I didn't try Alps either :(

Cherry Spacesaver ML4100 Looks in very good shape. How do ML switches feel like? I've seen a video review on youtube and the guy wasn't that crazy about these switches. He found the MLs in this model to be kind of scratchy, so he lubed the switches. I've only tried MX browns and blues from the Cher...

GTI releases gaming laptop featuring a mechanical keyboard

This is already old news, but it seems it has not yet been posted here. MSI have announced in October 2014 their GT80 Titan gaming laptop, featuring a mechanical keyboard! It's a SteelSeries keyboard with Cherry MX Brown switches. To my knowledge, this would be the first laptop ever to inclu...

it had zinc alphas, great Banggood PBT modifiers and blank signature plastics PBT keys were required. The lack of R5 keycaps in replacement kits is not a big deal, you just lose the slight ergonomic gain. If I did it again, I would have gone with all blank modifiers, would have kept the board more ...

What about Keycool 84 very similar to KBT Race but with more standard keycaps. Ah, now that's a nice layout indeed. Thanks, I'll look into it. So far, I've only found www.kc-keycool.com. Apart from nice pics, I see no specs listed. From a mere visual inspection, I'd say it's not programmable, but m...

Questions about the KBT Race 2

I'm in need of a mechanical keyboard to have on-the-run, for daily use. So far I've been considering the WASD v2 TKL, but I still find it kind of big. From what I've seen, the most appealing to me is the KBT Race 2, for two reasons: it has a limit of 64 characters per key on the Fn layer (as opposed...

Wrong. Exported goods are not subject to VAT in the country of origin. VAT on imported goods is collected by the customs office, but is not an import tax, it equates to the VAT you would have paid anyway if buying in your own country instead of from abroad. Import duties apply above a certain limit...

Those Unicomps are actually quite cute. I don't know why they've got the cut-out for the trackpoint buttons, though... That and the bizarre modifiers. Classic Unicomp! The cutout for the buttons must be due to the fact that the Ultra Classic is the exact same thing as the EnduraPro , minus the butt...
