Not really worried about my hands, but if doing by hand, then accuracy is probably going to be an issue if making a large array of holes.

We'll see. I did use some USB PS/2 adapter in that computer earlier, so just wondered that if it installed some drivers that might mess up. Anyway all Soarer tools are working like they should.

I can double check this. I'm not currently at my workshop, but I'm pretty sure that I connected VCC into 5V line next to ground. Skidata has internal beeper, which I can also hear to beep when keyboard is connected. When pressing the keys and lookind hid_listen I can still see that when I press key,...

@ohaimark, Thanks from fast reply. I will check these keyboards with some other device / adapter. I just don't have any around, that is actually the reason why I built this adapter. I think I have third PS/2 keyboard somewhere near by that I can test too. Last time I checked these keyboards were fin...

Tool in the picture at least works in a way that small hole is first drilled, then rod (or bolt like in the picture) is put through it and smaller part is screwed to this rod. On the other side is the larger part (cup). Then these two pieces are pulled together, thus tool making the cut between the ...

Our company used it in the past for making holes into cabinets etc during installations if cables / antennas etc were needed to be routed and connected inside a metal casing. I makes a very clean hole, b...

Hi, I know Soarer is a bit obsolete as it's creator is not around, but for me it has been working so far with AT keyboards that I have been using with DIN connector. Now I wanted to hook some PS/2 keyboards using it. Our local electronic store had some Pololu A-Star 32U4 Micro controllers in stock, ...

I would love to see ISO ENTER in the kit too. I know it can be obtained other ways too, but all keycap sets that I would like to use this kid has the older "bigass" enter that doesn't fit to moderns keyboards. But sure I can always buy some ISO DE kit as well.

Regarding the case my biggest question has been, that should I preserve the original plastic and just build new sides and bottom or make a completely new case including the top plate. I like to "old IBM" color, so making just sides and bottom from wood (walnut etc) sounds like a compelling idea, but...
