Re: You can now order one of the new Raspberry PI based Mini-M Controllers from Unicomp
Someone's been selling aftermarket Bluetooth controllers for IBM Model Ms on DT for years, but I can't seem to find the thread by searching for Bluetooth or BT in the title. The guy was running his own firmware as I recall, and was a bit nutty about certain airborne viruses… This one https:/...

Re: IBM SSK club!
Thanks both. The nano's pricey, but really is the answer for a few of my longest waiting controller replacement jobs. Yeah indeed. Would have been great if the no. of pin’s on v2 were the same as v1 (23). That alone would have been enough for this. But got forced to learn and use shift registers so ...

Re: IBM SSK club!
Made my SSK BT. It's working fine for now. Need to fabricate another round of PCB as I don't know what I'm doing and the post adjustment/workaround been bugging me. Haha.. IMG_6560.jpg Published it here https://github.com/nyemash/zmk-config-ssk and will update it again once I verified my 3rd round w...

Re: Novatouch 2u sliders
That 1.75u right Shift key is—coincidentally—the most skewed one in my KBDfans cap set. Wonder if I can twist it straight? Might be a little harder to make it work or not at all for KBDFans. There’s a hole at the bottom of the crucifix (you can see the domes) which I assume makes the Des a little m...

Re: Novatouch 2u sliders
Yeah those sliders came in crooked (don’t even know if the latest version got it fixed) but once I twisted mine they were fine. What I did is placed a keycap then twist/nudge the cap clockwise till the alignment looks fine by looking at the underside. Did this before even placing the slider on the h...

Re: Rescuing a Novatouch ! is it possible ?
No worries and no you can't. The wire's are different.
As for HHKB, might be good to wait. They have 2 kinds of 2u slider where the latest one was reported to be a bit bigger than the housing. They're revising it.

Re: Rescuing a Novatouch ! is it possible ?
Did the same except I already had Niz parts and the board. And yeah you’ll end up spending quite a bit; up to you if it’s worth it or not. Deskeys are expensive/overpriced but they’re quite good and nothing else comes close. I actually like their sliders better than Novas and see them on par with to...

Re: Some bolt modding questions
Learned it the hard way, did my first bolt mod on my SSK (full disassembly) and ended up cracking the barrel plate on the center; pressed the drill to hard on the last few rivets. Luckily the cracked remained in the center and didn't reached either end. When I heard and saw the crack, it hit me, tha...

A bit expensive but if you’re looking only for a few then this is the way to go: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F323609343226 They work fine with nova but you’ll notice the wobble. Or... buy a whole set from kbdfans then sell the sliders. I think they...

Have a read on this

You might need a pull up resistor with that or have to use hasu’s with a teensy.

Re: Post your desktop.
Reinstated my trackball to my desk. As much as I want to use it before I struggle to keep it due to the long messy cable.
So decide to change the cable, and while I was on it did a led/glow mod and add 2 buttons.

Re: Post your keyboard/keycaps!
So, you have an MX top housing and stem (cut) pressing on a Topre dome, and also functioning alright? How does it feel? Yup it works. Wobbly as hell. Lol. Sometimes it feels like your just balancing the stem on top of the dome during press. The further the stem goes the more wobble you get ...

Re: Post your keyboard/keycaps!
Bought parts of a harvested Novatouch last week so that I can ansi-d mine. Ended up having two with all keys functioning. :D 2920AEFC-CB2D-459F-964C-784F01C59BAA.jpeg The top board’s right shift also doesn’t have the slider. I rarely use it anyway. * edit: forgot to add info. The cherry top housing ...

The redirect from google searches fails. Not all though; there were a few working.
Tried this search "pro micro convert deskthority" and among the result only the "Teensy 2.0 alternatives, ATmega32U4" subject managed to redirect correctly.
