It's not in very good condition. Yeah, that's the main thing that concerns me. The seller only provided a small blurred photo of the keyboard which is generally not a good sign. And the lead looks a mess which is also not a good sign. But still, he claims it's in working order and in my experience ...

Just accidentally won a Model M on Ebay!

OK, strictly speaking it wasn't an accident. What happened was that I was browsing Ebay to see how much Model Ms are currently going for because I'm considering selling (or trading) an old ANSI model that I own. I came across an auction for a white label model M with only 10 minutes to go ( link ). ...

Nahh I've got a PS/2 model but at the shop there where some USB only models too so I don't think that they are selling PS/2 and USB in on device. Why don't they just make the damn thing programmable and be done with it? It would only add a few euros/dollars to the overall cost. That would be a much more useful feature than silly LEDs under the keys.

It would depend on the price.

When purchased through the usual channels the HHKB2 is insanely overpriced. However, that might be due to middlemen profiteering. It would be interesting to see how much the factory sells them for.

I've just had a thought. Would it be possible to supply the keyboards without keycaps? That could potentially reduce the price and the shipping costs. I wonder if Unicomp's prices include any sort of local VAT or sales tax. If they do then potentially we could reclaim it, or not have it charged in the first place. I'm pretty sure that dual-taxation agreements exist between the US and most European countries.
