I have an extra SSK with Displaywrite keycaps that has been bold modded. I'll be selling it soon. Not sure I can let it go for less than $200, though. Let me know if you are interested.
That price seems fair :)

Does anyone else feel like their listing for a new product is almost insulting? No description at all, and they only included one image.

Do either of you have pictures or prices in mind? I'm assuming both of you are in the US, is that right?
I am in US. Price would be $20 + shipping(without switches). Here are your pictures:

I have what you need. Someone else wants the switches anyway so this works out great. I just have to desolder them.

Re: How to kill keyboard during restoration

Okay, so this actually happened to me with my Acer KB-101-A. My solution was to handwire it all and make it a usb compatible, programmable keyboard. I can help you go through with this if you would like. If you have diodes on it, it will be significantly easier. Seeing that it is the A model, this ...

Flashy... but not in a proper way. Also, there is unsurprisingly little "cyber" about it. And the physical layout ain't good.

Cherry MX red might be your best bet, as those switches don't have a lot of weight to them. If that is still too heavy, you could get some lighter springs maybe.

Wow, that's quite the crusty beamer. On the bright side, you have all the keycaps! As long as the PCB and switch internals are intact I'm confident you can get it to 100% working condition. Aesthetics wise, I would go with the battle scarred finish as it already looks visually intriguing. I am proba...

Re: Reasonable price for full Bolt/screw modding model m's

If there was also cleaning of the keyboard included as well as screw mod how much would be fair to charge in that case? I we are talking about a in depth ultrasonic cleaning, yes. If you mean you wiped it down and did a semi thorough clean with a rag then no. I'd say add 15 or 20 dollars depending ...

I'd say about $50. Bolt modding is time consuming and takes patience and skill.

Although I would never bolt mod anymore, screw mod is so much faster with the same if not better result.
