Yeah I was really hesitant that I'd end up ordering a new switch and replacing them which would be quite a hassle. Comparing to plate mounted cherry mx switches the option to open the switches, without desoldering, comes kinda handy. I also solved the rattle of stabilized keys by lubing the wires ...

Welcome aboard :) Opening an Alps switch is actually quite simple. You should take a look at Chyros' video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Mhmb2kBuwQ . For key chatter, you should probably strip the contact leaf from the contact pad and try cleaning the small plastic hammer and leaf beneath it ...

I just bought my first alps keyboard, Matias Click V60. I'm really getting used to the alps switches, it's a completely new experience from cherry. Is there a way to lube alps type stabilizers? The stabilizers do make a bih of a pingy noise when typing. Also, I'm expereincing key chatter on "R" key ...

Are those vintage cherry mx blacks?
I recently harvested switches from an old cherry keyboard Cherry g80-1000 (already sold the keycaps :) ) and I wonder if these switches are vintage mx blacks? The picture I took is the switch right next to a new mx blue. The font and the cherry logo is bigger on the black switch which is a good ...

Hi there, I currently own a cherry mx clear keyboard but I got the oportunity to buy cherry mx tactile grey switches to solder on my kb. I find that mx clears are a bit light to my taste (I bottom out from time to time) so I thought to try heavier springs. The Question is, has anyone owned and typed ...

Thank chzel, you saved me from ordering wrong stabilizers, and from a great amount of disappointment if they'd arrived. :) Now, I've read this topic here (http://deskthority.net/keyboards-f2/how-to-lube-a-wire-stabilizer-located-under-the-plate-t12131.html) is having same problems with noisy space ...

Where to find Pok3r stabilizers?
Hi, the stabilizers on my Pok3r make too much rattle noise and squeek so I decided to replace them with new ones. Where.do I order stabilizer clips and stems from for my Pok3r? I think Pok3r uses cherry stabilizers.
I also heard lubing might help but the stabilizers are plate mounted, so is there ...
