Mistel Barocco MD770 keyboard review (Cherry MX RGB Brown)

Today we look at the Mistel Barocco, a board that had been requested before, but which I now got through a commercial donation. An ergo board with MX Brown - I know what you're thinking, but no, this is not a joke :p . I try to be serious anyway. Most of the time :p .

Re: Are there two types of undamped Cream ALPS?

The black Alps in the NeXT will be pine ones, which are the older variety of SKCMAP. These are considerably better than the later ones used in the AT101W, honestly pretty decent switches IMO!

Key Tronic vintage foam & foil typing sound comparison (Chyron, Mycro-Tek, Dasher D1,...)

A collection of highly flashy and highly clacky boards is up this week! I do a comparison video like this with every batch of TDXL videos now - hope you enjoy the video! :)

Re: Relegendable Alps keycaps?

Are there any relegendable Alps SKCM/SKCL-mount keycaps? Preferably ones in the same profile although I don't have a "row" preference or whatever. The cheaper the better but if I don't have to pay much more to find ones in Canada or the US (as opposed to China) I'm fine with that. Thanks! Yes, they...

Re: Oldest Model M In The World

I am beyond incompetent with Model M, so we have seen the oldest known to us ones. What is the theoretical oldest model M possible? For both Model M, and hybrid/typewriter ones, The oldest Model M PART I've seen, which are from prototypes, are the controller boards; these are dated to very late '84...

Re: Honest opinion on beamspring boards?

They are the best switches I've ever tried, beyond a shadow of a doubt. The only problems with them is the keyboards they come in. They are ludicrously tall, which is the biggest deal breaker for most people, and the layouts are so-so too. My 5251 has something similar to XT layout, and that's doabl...

Re: IDENTIFY THE KEYBOARD thread

That's a German keyboard with IBM beamspring switches. Curiously, it looks like yours uses BLUE housings rather than the standard black.

Looks very rough, but beamsprings are gold.

Re: Zenith Z-150 XT Not Working on Mac

Does it work when you plug a different keyboard into the Soarer's and then connect it to the mac? Does it even recognise the Soarer's as a new device at all?

Re: Zenith Z-150 XT Not Working on Mac

macs suck? I'm not sure, I use a Zenith with a Soarer's at work on an imac and it works fine. The mac does occasionally "forget" that the keyboard is plugged in, so randomly about once a day I need to re-plug it, but it works. If the keyboard does work on a Windows machine I'm really not sure what ...

Has anyone tried to polish the side of a alps slider ? To get rid of any roughness or scratchiness that results form wear ?
It's the rails that are usually at fault; not sure how one would polish them tbh.

Re: What should green alps feel like?

Oh that's interesting. The general consensus was that dry lubes are better suited to alps switches. Maybe I got it wrong :/ For sure though, they should not be scratchy at all to use. If you have cleaned them out well and nothing is helping, I guess the switches saw too much heavy use, or use when ...

However, I'd be VERY surprised if the keyboards in those pictures are Key Tronic. They look more like Cortron/ITW switches to me.
