It still disconnects randomly but not as much :) I just need to keep going over the connections till I find it. I think ill order another board just in case :) when it starts up. May be worth doing an Europe order aswell as a USA one if anyone was upto the task.. save on postage? Upto geekhack mind...

More likely you've bridged pins 32 and 31 of atmega. I did exactly that (but for other columns) making my second GH60... So go on searching with the schematic, multimeter and a magnifying glass;) Maybe you've also shorted reset with something and that is causing the keyboard to stop working from tim...
