Today I found a IBM 3278-2 computer terminal from my basement. It was there lying around in dust with some scrapes here and there. Keyboard was sadly missing :( I don't know if it is working, but I plan to find out this weekend.

I am curious what is this beauty worth.

Thanks Muirium for the suggestions! I will try those now. Do you think it matters that the firmware version is 1.12 and tools are 1.10? (I could not find tools for the 1.12 version)

I finally got my Model M working with Pro Micro flashed with Soarer's converter, but some keys are mapped wrong. I would like to fix this and have created a config binary file, but scwr doesn't recognize my pro micro as converter. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

The new Pro Micro arrived today and this time I used the Soarer's Converter instead of TMK. My Model M woke up! It lives! Thanks for everybody for their input! This keyboard feels amazing! Some keys are mapped wrong and I followed Soarer's instructions on this, but scwr did not find Soarer's convert...

Okay. There is so much tin on the pro micro that I have decided to order a new one from Hong Kong. For next time though, what exactly should I do? I am thinking of wiring the DATA to RX and CLOCK to PC6 with tmk setup like this: #define PS2_CLOCK_PORT PORTC #define PS2_CLOCK_PIN PINC #define PS2_CLO...

Something went right after all :P I much rather would change the soldering setup. I had so much trouble with the flashing and don not...

Okay, now I am clueless. I successfully flashed my pro micro and have tried two different ways to solder my model m to it but with no luck. Here is what I get with ' watch "dmesg | tail" '': [186349.519329] usb 3-2: USB disconnect, device number 5 [187502.624006] usb 3-2: new full-speed USB device n...

Oh yes! I got it to work! Thank you so much! Apparently I was too hasty with the RST + GND shorting.

Yes the device I am trying to flash is /dev/ttyACM0 .
I have some code to write and deadlines are getting closer, but I will continue later today and also send the commandline I have used so far.

Have a nice trip!

I think so yes. Does something flashy happen when I connect the GND and RST twice? In other words: How do I know if my pro micro is in boot mode?

I am having problems with avrdude: avrdude: butterfly_recv(): programmer is not responding. This error occurs when I try to run: avrdude -p atmega32u4 -P YOUR_SERIAL_PORT -c avr109 -U flash:w:filename.hex where I have replaced YOUR_SERIAL_PORT and filename.hex with proper ones. Does someone know a s...
