If anyone has a 88 key ISO barebones board with blues that they'd be willing to sell, I'm all ears! (Worth a shot!)

So disappointed I missed out on this, I was looking to buy a 88 key barebones with blues. Oh well!

I'm still not too sure about it to be honest. I am tempted to just take the plunge and order but not too sure how I'd get along..

How easy is it to adapt to an ANSI keyboard layout coming from ISO? I use a UK layout keyboard but I really like the look of keyboards like the Leopold FC750R but not sure whether to take the plunge or not.

I agree with noobie; the first two screenshots look far too cluttered and the designs on the buttons makes it look cheap.

I fixed it by scratching off part of the trace to reveal the copper and soldered that way. I actually found out TWO keys weren't working; both the Backspace and the left Windows key were broken but I solved both. I dare like to bet that I didn't even have to replace the switch on the Backspace ...

One reason why the pad was lifted from the PCB could be that you used a soldering iron that was too hot. This happened to me all the time when I used a 30W iron. Then I switched to a 15W iron, and I have also tried to be much more careful.

allright, then you've got the reason why the switch didn't work. the pad was likely shot before you desoldered.
And if you could desolder that switch you can put a jumper wire in as well.
Stick the switch through, then prepare some short wire in appropriate length, strip the isolation off the ...

EDIT: The Backspace was in the middle position AFAIK with it being a QFR w/ Costar stabs.

I desoldered the switch and someone threw it away haha!

Yeah I'm literally desoldering one switch and soldering a new one in.

So what heat do I want for the 60W station I bought for soldering / desoldering switches? I'm going to be using some 63/37 rosin core solder, 2% flux. I don't want to go overboard with the heat I guess, but thought I'd ask people with more experience than me.

On another note, anyone know where I can get a single MX Red switch? KeyboardCo have them but including delivery it was going to cost over £6 for a single switch!

I bought this one. It seems decent enough. Got some 63/37 rosin core solder with 2% flux as well as a desoldering pump and a few other bits and bobs.

Any product recommendations? Not really looking to buy anything too expensive as I need to desolder and solder one switch.

Any recommendations from Amazon.co.uk for a soldering iron and whatnot for simply desoldering / soldering Cherry MX switches? I know I'll need an iron and a desoldering pump but specific recommendations would be great. Won't be used for anything else than switch soldering.

I probably will sell the keycaps and stuff separately but not sure how much to charge for just the keyboard with stock caps and cable? It's obviously used and the warranty has nearly expired but I take good care of things and it has no scratches or anything and I clean it weekly with my Metro Datavac.

Guys, how much would you say is a fair price for a 11 month old Filco MJ2 TKL ISO. Comes with original keycaps, packaging and accessories as well as a wire keycap puller, blank white ABS keycap set and a sleeved MDPC-X White cable?

Price check on a 10 month old Filco Majestouch-2 MX Browns. UK ISO layout. Comes with original box and all accessories as well as a wire keycap puller and a 2M white MDPC-X sleeved cable. Stock keycaps.

Vortex Keyboards had a picture of a PBT ISO Enter key but it looks as though nothing came of that
