what happened to hyper7 kits?

I built a b.87 with plates from this gb. I am having a friend make me an acrylic midplate (diffuser) for it. if you are interested in getting one, pm me on geekhack. i dont know if it will work with GON pcbs

well, looks like we have 5 or 6 orders. i will post up an IC thread today just to see if more people would get in on this

got quotes today. the following prices are for two (2) plates - top and bottom. the plates will fit the phantom pcb. i cannot guarantee they will fit any other pcb. the price also includes two options for finish: "dual action sander" or "grain". DAS will be more of a shiny finish, but not a mirror ...

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. Each part will probably have it's own MOQ, though.

right. that's why i sent the design to a few other shops. laser cutting is typically faster and therefore cheaper for parts like these. we'll find out prices next week.

local shop only has waterjet... too expensive for us. I sent the design out to a few other shops in the area who have laser CNC capabilities. Will have multiple quotes early next week. I have also asked for pricing for materials and finish treatments.

We are going to need a bottom as well. The extra distance between the f key row and number key row makes the plate taller. So the bottom plates we all have won't fit

OK everyone, I am working on a possible solution for everyone with a Phantom PCB. Keysmasher has helped design a plate that is compatible with the Phantom PCB. I am working with a local fab shop to get them made. Not sure what the price will be at this point. I am definitely getting one for myself ...

Ok, finally got out the calipers. I took measurements from the pause/break key to either edge of the plate. I also took measurements of the cutout for the switch. From these measurements, you should be able to figure out where the center of the cutout is.

My cheapo calipers are probably off by a ...

not a problem Roostr. could you do me a favor and give me a measurement from center of the switch hole the edge of the phantom pcb on all sides? I want to make sure that I draw up a middle layer that wont interfere with the switches. I can send. If I can get those dimensions, I can finalize a cad ...

How about another run of just plates for the phantom?

For phantoms this plate does not work. I had a lengthy conversation with the designer and took many measurements and such, and like others have said, it does work with the GON pcb.

We know the plate does not work with the phantom pcb. We want to know what you plan to do about it to make this ...
