I bet those open switches were susceptible to dust. Still, I bet they were a better low-profile switch than the MLs.

I was three when that keyboard was made.

Re: signature plastics color codes?

Or just a regular-ass white on black set and none of the vintage crap. If get some time, I might just do my own GB. I doubt it, though.

While I don't feel the need to be uber-private (I'm squeaky-clean legally speaking), I am not a big fan of the idea of cloud storage. I would rather have my backups in a little more "tangible" state even if it's just for speed's sake.

The full-sized Leopold (besides the very old one) is not even out in Korea yet, as far as I know. Besides a few review samples. That would be a shame. I'll have to hold off on checking one out. On a better note, imsto is taking a "group" order for Pokers on the 'Hack. I put myself down for one with...

It might not be pad-printing after all. Talking it over with Ripster, it might be a form of laser-etching with infill. Using a magnifying glass, it appears that they laser-etched the legend, then pad-printed the "infill" over it.

My spacebar, oddly enough, isn't lopsided (it might look that way in my pic, because I was a little to the left of the 'board when I took it). It's certainly no Topre on the quality scale, but I like it better than the Filcos I had. I'm going to wait and see what Elitekeyboards ends up carrying in t...

Ducky DK-9008 PBT (OCN Edition) - Quick Review

I just got the Ducky-9008 PBT, and despite all the bad press Ducky got on the 'Hack, it's a pretty nice 'board. It seems to be about as heavy as the Filcos, and has a similar feel. The key caps are about the same thickness as the Filcos but are PBT (obviously) and have a little different feel. There...

Lame key caps are lame. I want to check out the new Filcos, but for all the re-design, they didn't appear to make any improvements on the weakest part of the 'board (IMO).

Wait a bit for the Poker to settle. I know that one will be customizable and available for OEM. If you want, I'll hook you up with the according contact and info. As for the topic of the OCN Ducky. I am not really very impressed, but its a nice touch. Looks like most on OCN are very happy about it....
