Re: Recommended clicky vintage boards?
I got the board today. (Converter should be here Friday) And I'm actually kinda impressed. I thought people were exaggerating about vintage blacks, but they're actually really nice switches. (I still prefer tactile or clicky switches though) Based on recommendations here though, I think that my key...

Re: Kinesis Advantage Mod: need some help
Just as the rubber domes are, meaning that each switch must follow the same traces. Orientation doesn't matter as they're just closing a circuit I'm pretty sure. I'm not sure if I was of any help, tell me if not. I got how it works (kinda straight forward actually, as with mx they close a circuit i...

Re: Black IBM Model F122 restoration
Any question on the Rollermouse? I used a Free2 for years and now I own a re:d rollermouse.
Loved both models.
Tough my setup is not optimal for it; the rollermouse is not made for usage with ergodox.

Re: Mia a 122 soon to be opensource, if it works that is.
Will the board run QMK? Would be nice, and while in the realm of possibility I'm not sure I'll have the energy to blaze that trail. But I do have vague ideas of incorporating features from qmk. Terminal being one. Had be cool considering QMK is „Usus“ and many know how to use it + it’s featureless ...

As long as the upper portion is a detachable, if need to be standalone unit there are some more options..
EG something flip-out may be possible. Never used a rack but wouldn’t „as flat as possible“ be needed?

I would suggest giving the keyboard the form of a Christmas tree. And, why not, its colour. After all, it already has its frantic, flashy lighting  It should have a little speaker to bleep Christmas songs to go with the blinking. I believe it's Cooler Master keyboards that let you pl...

sounds like a nice idea.
do you have to do a standard layout OR could you think about a ERGONOMIC design?
for instance I love the Planet 6 by kurplop.. and that in a nice, bioshock-esque, maybe a bit steampunky had be endgame for me!

Which footprint does a rotary encoder has? I doubt 1u suffices - 2x2u if placed in the middle?
Where do you aim for placing them?
„Normal“ sized is absolutely ok: we don’t need bigass stuff, no?
