Re: My next keyboard (possibly...)

Just some request / suggestions perhaps even unreasonable: For those two empty round-edge spaces at the top of this keyboard case, the right one can have the lock indicator LEDs, the left one, if you can, or if some crazy people can make this happen, can hold a layer or layer name LCD indicator for ...

Re: My next keyboard (possibly...)

It's kind of smart to accommodate the arrow cluster this way by making the Right Shift 1.25u. Haven't seen this before, and if it is not done in other keyboards before, matt3o has really created this design with some out of the box thinking.

Re: [WTS] Give-away G81-1000 case & cable, welcome donation to DT

You have to pay for the shipping. To understand what is being shipping: it is a case and its cable, the PCB and "switches" of this G81-1000 board will be removed. The upside is the shipping weight will be much lower. Of course, I can also ship the PCB and those "switches" to you, assuming you know w...

This is exactly the Alps keyboard that I've been looking for...
The layout, SKCL browns, and in such a good condition, it's like icing on the cake.

How does SKCL browns compare to the SKCL greens? How much heavier?

Re: Cherry G80-5000HAMUS

Such a legendary and expensive vintage keyboard Cherry 5000 - is a PCB-mount design.

Now the photos remind me about that again. A great internal struggle and debate for me to go PCB-mount or Plate-mount on builds.

Re: What's your favorite keycaps?

no, unfortunately they aren't... as someone already pointed out, GMK actually has lower quality caps than Cherry OG. This is most likely due to some of the original tooling degradation, awful QC and maybe different plastic quality than used in original Cherry caps. I have this question too... like ...

Just being honest about your great offer, and lubing is like major PITA to achieve the true HHKB greatness, but much more work than other operations such as swapping the drop-in Hasu controller.

I wanted to browse Taobao, but at some point they require login and I could not manage to find a way to create a Taobao account that asks for a China phone number.

Well, I just then have to give up this bottomless pit, and focus on some other shallower bottomless pits.

Good things about DT: Elders are active and competent and helpful :ugeek: Now I'm further puzzled - some swear by PCB-mount and some swear by Plate-mount. But I also developed some (BS) theory. My thinking is, it depends on the style of typing of the person, and the personality. bashing typing style...

What is the firmware, and the location of that switch within the matrix? Have you checked that the switch's diode does hot have a faulty solder joint? That's a KBD75 and the key is the Tab key, with no switch soldered. The diode seems to be correctly soldered at the back. When I tried it with a swi...

[Help] Switch Hitter - test on PCB shows chatter?

I am such a newbie in projects, so I use the Switch Hitter from elitekeyboard to test out a PCB with a pair of tweezers. And Switch Hitter gives consistently chattering alert (red) to a single key, and consistently green to all other keys. If I understand correctly, key chatter should be related to ...
