Re: QMK Powered Equivalent to Soarer’s Converter?
Nah, TMK Unimap's not working with my plain Teensy 2. I made this provisional layout here : note the mouse keys on the numpad. Unimap gave me a hex file, which I tried to flash onto the keyboard (an AT protocol NMB RT8255C+ with black space invaders and a Teensy running Soarer's Converter installed ...

Re: Soarers Converter issues.
90 degree connector, right? Did you use the 3179 pinout from http://www.kbdbabel.org/conn/index.html? The straight connector and 90 degree connector are different. Source: I have two pre-built Soarer's converters. One is for the straight DIN connector. The other is for the 90 degree DIN connector. ...

Re: XT to PS/2 Converter for Model F
AT waveform itself looks ok now. But the AT signal for 'K' is actually '6B'(Keypad 4), I think you got '4' or Left(depending on NumLock state) on computer press 'K' on the XT keyboard. This indicates the converter misread XT signal for 'K', to be exact, it fails to read data on the first clock falli...

Re: TMK IBM PC Keyboard Converter
Hey there, I just built a TMK ps2_usb converter out of this Pro Micro clone from ebay: Pro_Micro_01.jpg At first I contemplated just buying a converter from anywhere, but I could already smell bugs with ISO-DE layout and non-configurability even before hitting the Buy-button. So I went with this. Fo...

Re: IBM 5251 terminal USB conversion (but not what you think)
Hi, here's a quick update - your comment on an "auto-configuration-feature" made me searching the net ... On this link : https://www.netphantom.com/APIDocumentation/se/entra/phantom/server/tn5250e/DataStream5250.html I found some information that you can query the terminal about its settings etc - a...

From the depths of China comes this ex-data entry workhorse. Fallen from grace, its life in a glitzy air-conditioned Tokyo office has come to an end, and it now lies destitute in a dumpster somewhere. Shipped off to China to be put out of its misery and scrapped, I knew I had to grab it as soon as I...

Re: Identify CHERRY switch.
Found the board. Sorry for the crummy picture. Also it's soldered in place so I can't immediately see the bottom. I guess mine are different (they have the two little extended nubs on top where as your don't extend out). Also the top on mine is flat where yours has a slight grade to it. This is what...

That's really interesting, because I have M84 switches (M84-0100, from Cherry), and the contacts are circular cross section exactly as you're suggesting! Also shown on the wiki is an M8 switch with clearly triangular section contacts. So maybe we can't tell M81 and M82 apart, but we can recognise M...

I've looked at the master list of Cherry part numbers from Potis Technologies (theirs is in a PDF) and there are over 2000 MX types, from MX1A-01DN to MX5D-F1YW. Off-hand I don't know if that should be "B65-46AB" keyboard mechanism with a hyphen. Those look like the old-style switches (style A), so I guess it's M61-0100 (straight) and M61-0120 (tee). Those seemed to be the standard types. I don't know if the redesign corresponded with the new part numbers or...
