Re: ARM-based IBM Model M USB controller

I'm reviving this thread. I have about 5 Model Ms, which I would like to give a new lease on life, by giving them an USB interface. (I'll maybe sell some extras - I don't need all 5 of them.) Of course, QMK comes to mind. Starting there , I have found a few candidates, which, unfortunately, use chip...

Re: Mount keyboard directly to tray arm?

I bought a "new" desk (beautiful hardwood, 300 lbs/136 kg, took 3 guys to move it, me included... and was $10 at Goodwill!) specifically because it doesn't have a keyboard tray, and my old desk did. Keyboard trays are awful. But I can envision some kind of metal arm that swings in and out that could...

So, if I understand correctly , the barrel´s in the top part of the case do not have to modified to get this to work ? The wheelwriter key placement is the same as on the PCjr ? The only cut on the WW5's barrel plate was on the left hand side (on my picture the 10 barrels with no keys installed). I...

That’s great news. I am not normally a custom board guy… but if you are going to offer a full-size ANSI Keymacs kit with a full-size ANSI layout, I got some blue Alps stashed just for such an occasion!

Wait, does it mean that there is a full-size ANSI 104 keyset available for purchase? And/or a full-size or TKL keyboard with ANSI layout? Almost, … it is just two small steps away. I need to figure out the final pricing and set up a ‘product web’ again. Besides that, everything is ready and tested....

The convex profile includes shorter spacebars and convex modifiers as I have promised. Since the set of supported ...

Keycaps ISO FR (AZERTY)

I have two sets of (very simple) MX keycaps for ISO FR, a white one and a black one, double-shot, translucent, for TKL, absolutely unused. Re: Curious How Keyboard Profiles & Keyboard Layouts Become Standard and Become Business

Well, I think it's fair to say that manufacturers aren't exactly waiting for people to come and pitch them on new layouts / key profiles and the like, in the hope to licence their ideas. Many of them try their own variations and ideas; indeed, there's more of that going on now than there was 10 or 2...

Looks like an example of the twinax terminals I used in my youth, back in the 1980s; I'd assumed 5251 but I'll defer to sharktastica, not least as I was never certain. Even at that age and in that era (1980s, when keyboards were either really obviously terrible such as the ZX81 and Spectrum, or they...

Thank you Polecat! As far as I know the spacebar has the more common Cherry type stabilizer. The BAE key stabilzer appears to be a Costar type. It has the Costar cross-type hook to attach under the keycaps. Tai-Hao however used the smaller Alps type bottom hook to snap in to the switch plate instea...

Thank you for the information on the stabilizers. Yeah, and my mainframe work needs all 24 F-keys...and the delete, end, PgUp, and PgDn keys are ones I use all the time. As a fellow mainframer I agree. I also need the 10 f-keys on the side.
