Yes I see your point. Each 30g for $19 plus mail sound more reasonable? First class mail should make it come to about $25 shipped. I think a favor was called in for this jar, so its not likely to be available again. Usually he would need to order a much larger quantity to get something made.

Is this of interest here? I see information on standard and SSK Model M membranes but couldn't find anything specific to the M3 variant. Re: Restoring a Model M “Battlecruiser” (122 keys, ISO German) from 1999
OK, I finished my replacement controller for the battleship. Hooray! The Blackpill-based setup works. There are some hurdles, but they can be overcome. If using GPIO A10 for the matrix, it needs an additional external pull-up resistor. This has already been planned into the schematics for the replac...

Hello friends! I'm currently looking for someone in the community that offers bolt-modding services (for a fee, of course). Ideally, someone with a lot of experience doing this kind of work. The reason is that I have a New Old Stock IBM Model M13 that I'd like to have bolt-modded (or screw-modded?,...

Hello everyone, It's been a while. A growing family and sadly non-growing living space necessitate another big sale. But my loss is your gain! These are the first batch I've photographed - there'll be maybe 20 or so more later this week or next. I've been out of the loop for a bit but I think these ...

how's the computer itself? it looks like something from Dolch, judging by the colourscheme, did it come with some guts or just the case? It's very interesting, what are your plans? Also the board is quite simmilar to an alps clone 19" rack board i got. I wonder if same company made these boards. Th...

Re: Modeling an F key mechanism
Awesome project DMA! Regarding the plate, would it be possible to also have support for IBM AT and XT barrels? My only thinking there is using IBM barrels as future replacements. Nope! IBM barrels are 19x20.8mm, which makes them a bit hard to put them onto a 19.05x19.05mm grid. It is, however, poss...

You would need to reprogram it before it is recognized, but I recommend having one key as a Fn key. The latest signal level monit...

It comes with 58 SKCM Browns and a nice PBT keyset. If we value the keycaps at $115 (and I do, because I sold one for $115 just a month ago) then the browns are ($300-$115)/58 = $3.19 apiece, which is about right (I just sold my last browns a month ago for $2.90 apiece and I could have easily asked...

Re: How do you store your keyboards?
Uline 23 X 13 X 2 1/2" literature mailers (part no. S-3189) work great for storing battleships, and 19 1/8 X 9 1/8 X 2 3/16" keyboard boxes (S-6496) work for smaller keyboards. IBM M13 fits inside the latter... barely. Removable multipurpose labels from OfficeDepot work well for keeping track of wha...

Re: Converting G80-11900 Touchboard to bluetooth?
Very good progress on the board so far! The boxed plate is really cool; I don't think I've seen that done before. I believe historically keyboards were spaced at 3/4inch, a nice round number. Modern stuff being metric means typical spacing is 19.05mm. So you're planning to stick with the 32u4 and r...

Maybe I am not understanding, but ebay fees are roughly 10% and Paypal fees are roughly 3% - depending .... Taking the sale local and paying cash still obligates the seller to ebay for the transaction fee but a cash payment avoids the Paypal fee. If I am remembering correctly, ebay now takes a cut ...

I can easily answer the first: It comes with 2x 19 buttons (Edit: corrected).
