Re: F104+SSK+122+62+77+50+Ergo orders now open! New Kishsaver+Industrial Model F Keyboards
Is there any interest in other colors besides white for the pad printing? I think white ink on your gray, dark gray and black keys would look nice. That would make themes like the space cadet keyboard possible: IMG_0295.jpeg I’m sure white ink on red would also be interesting. You asked about what ...

Hey @Ellipse, I emailed you a couple of months ago about ordering printed black keys for Model M. My original plan was to order a Unicomp Model M but with the new price cuts I think I will order a F104 from you instead. My goal is to get something that looks like IBM M13 color-wise. https://sharktas...

Re: Detachable SDL cable for IBM M13?
There is not much extra real estate on the PCB to properly solder on a female SDL connector, but one could probably cut off the end of the SDL dual head Y cable and solder directly to the 6 pins on the model M13 controller. That's what I was afraid of. I was hoping I could add an SDL connector to M...

Re: Detachable SDL cable for IBM M13?
Yes, one could take a SDL to dual ps/2 cable keyboard + mouse https://www.clickykeyboards.com/product/model-m-sdl-to-dual-ps-2-cable-keyboard-mouse-used/ and modify the keyboard-facing end of the cable work with the embedded controller inside the model M13. Re: Looking for a bolt-modder in the US
Hello friends! I'm currently looking for someone in the community that offers bolt-modding services (for a fee, of course). Ideally, someone with a lot of experience doing this kind of work. The reason is that I have a New Old Stock IBM Model M13 that I'd like to have bolt-modded (or screw-modded?,...

ClickyKeyboards.com will probably be happy to do that for you, and they have a lot of experience. I'm not sure how much they charge.
I am guessing you are the lucky owner of that NIB M13 that was just sold on eBay, congrats

Re: How do you store your keyboards?
Uline 23 X 13 X 2 1/2" literature mailers (part no. S-3189) work great for storing battleships, and 19 1/8 X 9 1/8 X 2 3/16" keyboard boxes (S-6496) work for smaller keyboards. IBM M13 fits inside the latter... barely. Removable multipurpose labels from OfficeDepot work well for keeping track of wha...

Documenting interesting *new* M13 Controller
I have had a Lexmark branded M13 for a while now but have not really used it because the cable was deteriorating and DIN and Serial connections and the usage of the FSR Track Pointer. But now that I am trying to do some mods to it I have cracked it open. After looking online it seems there are no pi...

Lexmark Pointer Device (FSR) signal mapping?
As mentioned in a previous post I have a Lexmark M13 which uses a Force Sensitive Resistor (FSR - Not a Star Wars Jedi skill!) technology vs the IBM Trackpoint II strain gauge devices. There is alot of a documentation on using other Trackpoint II devices but I can find very little on the Lexmark tec...

Re: Lexmark M13 Cable Conversion
@ SunshineRag. I found the following parts in the keyboard box that originally came from Lexmark keyboard factory when they were at 740 W New Circle Rd, Lexington KY. (Before Unicomp moved across town in Lexington by the railroad tracks) 1996 IBM model M-13 with trackpoint (92G7461) from 01/22/96. (...

Very nice, my keyboard was actually built only a week after the one in the link you posted and I assume from the same factory. Here is a pic of the controller board. J6 is the mouse buttons disconnected, I think J5 is the pointer stick (top left in the pic). Maybe Unicomp's Endura Pro controllers are compatible? They offer them in ps/2 and USB, so that might literally be the only thing you have to change. Lexmark M13 Cable Conversion
20210504_095849.jpg Posting my next project. I currently have a Lexmark M13 (P/N:1403380) that I got a great deal on a few years ago. It is completely usable, but as with many of these the cables sheath is degraded and basically flaking off you can see the electrical tape trying to stem the inevita...

Nice boards. I like the industrial grey one best. Strange the 2004 version is still without Win keys. That clit is removable, isn't it? It's a very specific non-PC release, for IBM TotalStorage 3494 Tape Library. I haven't tried removing the stick itself although by the looks of it you probably cou...

Re: Is there something about Cherry MX switches that make them more "clonable" than other designs?
I didn't say anything about people who prefer 60% layouts. Just that y'all should be paying less for less key switches! If a 60% board costs $500, there had better be a darned good reason (perfect repro beam springs or something), and bigger boards should cost even more because they're presumably m...
