USB-C Panel-Mount Connector for F62 Keyboard

This weekend, I set up my second new Ellipse F62 keyboard and installed a USB-C panel-mount connector. I promised to show some pics, so here they are: cutout1a.jpg The cutout involved drilling two holes for the mounting screws and using small hand files to enlarge the rectangular opening that was al...

Re: How to Keyboard not working after cleaning. Is there any fix?

@Roger789: The problem might be the silicone grease. Did you use this to lubricate each of the switches? Grease can literally "gum up the works" on this type of keyboard switch. Another possibility is that cleaning the PCB disrupted some of the traces.

New HHKB Pro Hybrid Type-S -- Very Brief Impressions

Although my daily driver HHKB Pro 2 that I lubed and silenced is still going strong after 5 years of service, I decided to purchase a new HHKB Pro Hybrid Type-S to see if there have been significant improvements. I opted for the unprinted charcoal model. Listed below are some brief first impressions...

@Matt3o: We already have categories for "Spy" and "My posts". Would it be possible to add a new category for "My threads"? This would be handy when looking for topics a person has started, whereas "My posts" includes replies to other people's threads in addition to one's own threads. Thanks for cons...

Most and least reliable keyboard switch?

What is the most and least reliable keyboard switch? (Most or least prone to missed keypresses or unintended repeated keypresses [chattering]). Answers to this question would be highly correlated with answers to the question, "What is the most and least durable switch?" Obviously, if a given type of...

Packard Bell US ANSI with Blue Alps Switches

Here is a presentation of a Packard Bell keyboard with blue Alps switches, US ANSI layout, and uncertain model number. There is a small paper sticker on the rear black-painted metal case. The faded number is difficult to read, but I interpret it as "T8015". I have another Packard Bell with a similar...

Are there any keyboards that .... ?

This is a new thread where we can ask the question, "Are there any keyboards that ....?" For example, to start, I'd like to know the following: Are there any keyboards that have all the keycaps with convex tops (as with most spacebars and some bottom-row modifiers)? What would be the advantages or d...

In spite of myself, I like the form factor of the Zenith Z-150 series, and the 100-1886 model sports the visually appealing black label.
