PS: may be I should move to Lexington KY and join the company of Chief Caring Officer or something. haha... I smell a MASS Unicomp employee exodus in the near future. I agree they are dying. For as long as the MF has been discussed, I thought it was a pity that these Model F revival projects would only be run once or twice without practical possibility of producing continuous stock; I felt Unicomp would be more than willing to produce Model F keyboards if given the means to. I believe ...

Who else votes... You f#$%ers crack me up. In all honesty, we are reaching out to Unicomp with our finished product here. At minimum, it is me sending them a complete kit for the full-size, and we discuss it. At most, we actually show up on their doorstep (bourbon trail is a bucket list) and saying...

Oh, I see. Why would this be better than a wire one? It seems to be targeted at just removing the top of a 2-piece cap (leaving the stem in place). For that it works well (normally I just use my fingers). An IBM key puller. I'm not a big fan myself. I didn't try on a one piece cap. It seems a littl...

Fohat was nice enough to loan me this little jewel to see if we can replicate it. I hadn't ever used one before, and am surprised how handy it actually is. I doubt we'll have time to produce it as part of this GB, but certainly something we can make cheaply in the future. I'll throw the STLs out on ...

Might as well start designing production PCB. Will wait for my MFs to arrive though so that prototypes are easier to test-fit. Also it looks like I'll have a 3277 and may be another beam spring specimen loaned to me, so there will be a beam spring version. If that loan pans out. Packaged up... will...

mfDrop.com (.net/.org) have been squatted. I am eventually going to let these alternative TLDs expire, but sitting on the "cheap seat" versions until we decide on the path to take. I actually like the term "drop" as well, and we can have a little fun with the logo if we want. Certainly opens up poss...

so how bad does mfdrop suck? Certainly a "wannabe" move, but easy to remember and type in. I waffle about it To be honest, we are actually a drop on steroids for a given product since we will always allow the ordering of individual parts. Each part would have a drop point (affecting the price of sum...

Something irks me with that logo. Part of it is probably because I don't get what "MF Objective" should mean and to me it doesn't sound good phonetically. Could you elaborate on that? And while I like the font of "Objective" I think I don't like the mix of both fonts. I do have reservations about t...

I am using all caps, so the monospace is less of a hangup in the word "OBJECTIVE", with the exception of the "I" and maybe the "J". Like our DT use of Melbourne, I think I would have to tighten up letter by letter anyway. I'll check out Consolas as well.

Would you want the square guide to be set back a little so the tip of the round key can engage with the spring? I'm wondering if it might be of use for the mounting holes on this backplate to be oval (long horiz axis) so the assembly could be shifted slightly in the case and allow for case variations.
