It'll be nice not to see so much drama for once, DTA is very good at stirring up shit which is a shame considering how much effort is put in to running it.

a solenoid just turns it in to a bit of a joke to me. It's not like Model F's didn't come with solenoids. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pFoo_Mvluo I'd be lying if I said I don't have it turned off most of the time though. Having the option is it's own bit of cool though, like a turbocharger on a...

Am I going to be one of the rare few not setting up a solenoid with these boards? I really don't see the point, obviously on beamsprings it's fair since they are ridiculous in every way possible, but I see these as actual workhorse daily-use end game boards and a solenoid just turns it in to a bit o...

I'd personally stay away from model M's that have fixed cables unless you can source a USB controller from somewhere. The feel and sound will be basically identical to all Model M's unless you have a lot of missing rivets. Even Unicomps produced today will feel identical to the Model M's of the 80's...

BTC 5100c or BTC 5130 (Dome with slider) UK

HI DT

Looking for a BTC keyboard (dome w/ sliders, not F&F) within the UK for a decent price, all the ones on ebay are ridiculous prices thanks to shipping from the USA. Let me know what you've got

Keyboards have become a money making scheme to a lot of people which really ruins the fun for us nerds. I dont live near any recycle centres so the best chance I have of getting cheap mechanical boards is via ebay, and that place is plagued with reddit guys looking to profit from boards they got for...

Wtf is the name of these keyboards?

First of all, apologies for creating a pretty stupid thread but this has been bugging me for hours now. I'm trying to remember what these keyboards are called. On someone's profile on Deskthority their keyboard listed a topre keyboard of some variant, and a second keyboard. This second keyboard also...

Oh yeh... That's ebay prices, and on eBay the seller would deal with PayPal fees, not the buyer.

Open to offers or not, the initial asking price is a huge turn off for most people that would otherwise be interested.
