LEDs would be possible, each LED would need its own pin assuming you want to run 2 separate LEDs so a total of 26 pins

yes and you will need also a pin for each row, so you would need 24 pins (19 columns and 5 rows) on you controller board assuming no lock lights

You could also use that keyboard with modern usb by getting a Din to ps/2 adapter, then an active ps/2 to USB converter

Nice colourway, however very limited compatability. I guess the high pricing is because of the novelties used. Good luck for the GB anyway

It is us who should be thanking you for putting all the work into designing the pcb in the first place and for giving everyone the chance to build a 100% custom Alps board which has never been done before.

i think that what you are searching for is going to be way too specialised to be able to be found even on vintage keyboards. I would say the only way to get all the desired points you have is to basically build the keyboard yourself which will involve a bit of work but will probably turn out cheaper ...

I have also had problems with one of my keyboards when using a blue cube but when i used a different converter it then worked. But as others have said check on another ps/2 port to make sure that the keyboard itself is functioning correctly before then purchasing a different converter.

I was really lucky to get my XT for £54, but i think that it was only so low because the seller thought all it was good for was parts. They had a complete XT system yet the keyboard was not working. When i opened it up i discovered that the bolt that makes contact between the back plate and the PCB ...

The foam is quite easy to cut you would just need to buy a set of leather punches in the correct size and follow the guides that are available on here depending on what type of F you have you should be able to get the punches for €10-15 and the foam for a few more €. I used the foam underlay that is ...

if you were ever to find a Model F at this price then you will be faced with much the same problem of bad feeling and sounding switches until replacing the foam. As the foam holds the barrels against the barrel plate if the foam is disintegrated then the barrels are not pressed as close to the plate ...

lots of transistors there its interesting comparing the electronics of similar boards and finding they are different. The feeling might be improved by having new foam if you have the tools to cut the foam and also enough clamps to enable the two plates to be shut again after the new foam is in place

Sent an e-mail and PM to the OP but no reply yet. seems that there is still interest in the converter to AT but we would need at least a schematic and component codes to be able to make one ourselves which I am hoping the OP is able to provide.

Hi, I recently purchased what i thought was an Ortek MCK-101 board from Ebay as i recognised the coloured modifier keys. When it arrived it was indeed an Ortek MCK101, though the sticker is branded Mortek MK-102NT and it did indeed have the doubleshot keycaps however the switches were not genuine ...

Re-designing Alps to MX Adaptors

Hi, I know there will be some of you in the community that have previously bought the Alps to MX adaptors made by nubbinator on GH, maybe he is on here also, however recently Shapeways has changed their formula for calculating pricing and so the price of the adaptors went up nearly 3x. As the new ...
