Re: Active USB to PS/2 adapter?
Sounds promising. For those who know what they're doing when it comes to playing as a USB host. (Not me!)
Actually, I'd love a Teensy or the like* which just exposed its own damn USB pins as a break out, to make wiring easier and external sockets (which I much prefer over keyboard tails) less ...

Re: Rarest Switch?? Cherry MX Lock
But once the host machine could talk back to the keyboard, latching keys became problematic because they could so easily fall out of sync. The host can see the state toggle but it can't reset it!
Before they became super-rare, I put a Cherry MX Lock switch on my ErgoDox for toggling the ...

Yup,you need a 32 bit OS to program a Tipro over PS/2,it's not that hard to do,just grab a 32 bit copy of Win 10 from MS using their download tool, then use Win to Usb to create a bootable thumbdrive with the .iso, then you just need to boot up Win 10 on the thumbdrive then install Changme,it's ...

these are the actual switches themselves - but the top of the case has stem adapters mounted to it, which press on the actual switch, which seem to be microswitch sd mount..
the board is for a terminal which seems to come up under IP-1548/G

If you have a pen light you can shine it into the hole for the LED,there should be enough room to see if there is a diode in the switch.

Re: Apple AEK II, strange behavior combi de and lkjn
AEK II has diodes already,so roll over shouldn't be a problem,I'd be checking for a short or bad solder joint,I'd also try a second converter as well.shallot wrote: 18 Apr 2021, 17:41 https://github.com/kb-elmo/aek2_usb
Failing that, you can always scrape up some traces and solder diodes in, has the chance to go wrong though

Swapped out the MX blacks for Outemu blues, sadly the 2 key roll over made it really annoying to use so it now occupies a box,I keep meaning to do something with it but never seem to find the time.

My BFO-9000,since I built it all other boards have been boxed, except when I got carpal tunnel surgery, then I used a Laplace for a couple weeks as it's easier to type one handed on a small board.

You need to use a computer running a 32 bit version of Windows, you can get a copy quite easily by downloading a Windows 10 .iso from Microsoft and using something like Win To USB to make a bootable thumb drive, then just install Changme and program the board, having to reboot to reprogram is kind of ...

Programming over PS/2 does not work in 64 bit Windows due to Microsoft changing a few things, you need to use a 32 bit version of your OS,easiest way is to download a copy of 10 from Microsoft, then make a bootable copy of it on a USB drive and program the board from there. VM's will not work.

Wouldn't Cherry Tools be the program you need? Though if it's PS/2 you will need to use a 32 bit OS to program it.

BDN9 - 3x3 9-key Macropad sounds like what you want, you do need to buy switches and keycaps and then assemble it yourself.
