Just a quick update: I've started to use the mouse on a Roccat Sota mousepad; now it's much faster (I've even switched from 1600 to 800 cpi) and has slightly higher LOD (definitely over 3 CDs, but still under 4 CDs).

What others say. Please, take a look at screenshots in my Roccat Savu review. The Roccat Linux Driver project makes use of PyGTK, which is multiplatform (the driver obviously isn't though) and reflects settings of user's desktop enviroment, i.e. looks and behaves relatively native—unlike those propr...

Back then when I wanted to replace the bottom row of my QFR with beige caps to fit with my DS set I got myself a G81... I almosty cried after I saw the stems on those caps :D Why on earth did they came up with such a ridicolous idea? Get an ergodox, those 1.25x keycaps with off-center stems fit its...

Those keycap shapes. O_o

BTW are those compact cases a good idea in actuality? Isn't there a higher risk that the user will accidentaly break some keys like the horizontal arrows?

I have a G81-3000HAU with white MY. Switches don't have to bottom out to actuate. I removed them from the plate using a hammer. I did that to mod them to 25 cN (removed springs). Unfortunately, I didn't try to lube the sliders to get around the mushiness. As someone mentioned earlier (maybe Cherry's...

Meh. I don't trust a random Asian wireless keyboard (i.e. security). The font is ridiculous and I don't care about backlighting (because it almost always implies shitty keycaps, as opposed to stock caps on Noppoo Choc Mini or some Cherry boards). BTW wireless and backlit? What about battery life? Lo...

Keycaps have arrived today, thanks!

I haven't checked the whole set yet, but I like that those 1.25x keycaps fit the ergodox quite well, thanks to the non-standard stem placement.

I'm not familiar with the naga, but if I understand it correctly, the mouse's numpad is basically just another numpad and remapping is done on software level, in Synapse. Then it shouldn't be an issue to use something like HID Macros instead of Synapse, and remap keys on each numpad independently.

Have you seen my Roccat Savu review? I use GNU/Linux, but official Roccat software probably can do about the same stuff... it's stored in the on-board memory after all. - Launch applications Possible (although I've never tried to use it). - Run Scripts Not too sure about this, what do you mean? What's the supposed pricing on Alcor? The official store sells it for €35 IIRC, but most prices (with only one exception) are around €55 here in the Czech Republic, including Alza, which is listed at CM Storm's website.

I had GYUR10SK (SK-1000RE) and GYUR26SK (SK-1000REW). The former had pad-printed keycaps and discrete rubber domes ("default" color), but not sliders; the latter had neither (and lasered keycap lettering, just like on most AT101s).

I wonder much are relegendable keycaps worth. I have ~92 1x and 4 2x (for two stems) unused ones, they appear to be Cherry uniform profile.

I used to be picky... I strongly preferred ANSI or at least the layout with long left Shift and big-ass Enter, because my typing technique depended on my short pinkies at the time, but then I took an arrow in the knee switched to TypeMatrix and then ErgoDox. Nowadays, I couldn't care less. I rotate ...

Check thrift stores, eBay/Allegro/whatever and such sites. [review] Logitech G9x

G9x used to be a Logitech's flagship for a while... actually, until it was discontinued; now there's only the G700(s). Being a flagship model, it was horribly overpriced, but nowadays you can find NIB or slightly used ones at decent prices. In fact, I'm writing this, because I've just sold mine and ...
